Tau and Gael

1033 Words
Let's chat about Tau and Gael. To start, both of them are the ones that I saw Jewel with. Both her first and second chance mates. I saw this year's ago. I knew when I saw Tau that he was meant for her. But, it is left to fate whether or not he would survive. Hence why I became aggressive with him. I could see the chemistry, I could feel it. What changed my mind about Tau you ask? The artifact Linzi gave him. That and the blood vow that saved my sister from the succubus. He also has not promised her anything other than to be there when she needs him for a guard. I know they have feelings and it is pulling them together. I also know that Athens is shoving them that way with the help of everyone else. Gael is a decent sort but once I met him I noticed his heart is not what it should be for my sister. There is a dark sliver there that I am unsure of. He also doesn't seem sure of himself as he lets on. My sister needs someone to pull her greatness out and keep her grounded. Tau knows who he is and how powerful he is. Gael needs more confidence, and he has not found his powerful side. He also has a lot more growing to do. To not fight back or look when Lobos took the lead was bad form. As head of security, he needed to look and double-check everything. He did not, a succubus came past his crew. He needs to get a tighter handle on things. I could say lots more about what Gael could do, he is a very strong wolf. He just doesn't believe it. That is not who I need for my sister or who she needs to help her be the Queen I know she can be. Tau I know helps her. When Jewel took control of the situation with Lobos after she went running to Tau. I know that feeling. It's that rubber band feeling that mates have. She turned around with him at her back. Her Alpha aura increased 100 fold. Even I felt it. A mate increases your power, a mate grounds you. We were not raised in Southern wolf society so the thought of having more than one mate does not appeal to my sister or me. I know Tau feels the same. Gael, I am not sure about which could also hurt my sister. She is not built to have more than one like our biological father did. Hell, we know he had 6 of them. The children were killed as were the other mates when he died. No one knows who killed them. My only thought is Lobos. I mean it did clear a path for Jewel to not have any other competitors. So, we should thank whoever it was. But the fact he keeps trying to kill Jewel leads me to believe he is the source for the others. He won't try me because I formally declined the title. There would be no need for him or whoever to try to get me. Lobos is going to amp up his attacks on her and will need to be stopped. Jewel did push his hate farther into him. Yet, she made the others see that Lobos is bad. The other families can formally request a new head of the family. It can be done once Jewel is crowned. But what my sister doesn't know, is Lobos has one last ace to draw. The card of her marriage. The whole reason, they tried so many times to arrange marriages. The Queen must be married. She knows this, and she knows they will try. We hope that there is a way around it. Part of the reason we spend hours in the castle's library is to gain a possible loophole. The only other choice would be to tell Jewel who her choice of mates is. I don't want her to pick wrong. She needs Tau if we can keep the marriage from ever coming up, that would be the best option. I honestly hope that is what happens. If it doesn't happen and she has to get married, I will tell her my choice. The big question is will she go through with it or will she choose the one I don't think will support her the best. There is a lot of questions in the air about that. I can only hope for her free will and the powerful connection she has to Tau will keep her grounded and that Tau stays alive in the second task then he can claim her. He says it will be a year before the dragon's attack for his second task. I don't think it will belong. I think it will be when she has gotten everything in this place sorted and they have no other option. Then they will, attack. I need to get Gael and his team to form. I need to make sure the people from Linzi's get to form and I need to figure out what side of the fence Leon is on. If he becomes the Lobos family head, will he continue to aim to kill Jewel, as his grandfather does, or will he be loyal to her. There are a lot of what if's only because of free will. The one thing I am certain of is that Tau and Jewel are mates while Gael would be her second chance. I will root for Tau, and ignore the fact he has kissed my sister on the plane. Or the fact that their bond is slowly snapping into place. Jakarta has helped me mellow out and ground me. She was who I needed to help control Tys. Jewel needs Tau, for her to progress. I won't get in the way unless something in the future changes. I plan to tell Tau that at the ball my sister has tonight for the introduction. He also doesn't know that he is the one walking on her arm. I have Jakarta to show off. I can't do both.
