Her eyes suddenly took on fear. She knew who I was. She also knew I could kill when I wanted to. "He killed Gael." She whisper yelled to herself. She looked back up to see, me watching her closely.
"I did kill Gael. Why are you still in this class?" I raised an eyebrow at her wanting a good reason for her being here and doing what she was doing.
"The trainer hasn't moved me yet." She turned to glare at the teacher in question.
I could see the instructor was wiggling uncomfortably. "What does she have on you for you to allow this." The first rule of Southern wolf politics is blackmail.
"She. She has video of a student and me kissing." The trainer's face went red with embarrassment.
"Did you use the boy or was this real?" I look down at the young Mateo girl.
"I had him do it." She pushed out between clenched teeth.
"What I figured. Now, why?" I asked her. The growl in my voice was unmistakable.
"I see my father lead all day, I wanted to feel just as important as he does. Adele also needs to know her place. Not like any of these idiots will do it." She snorted in disgust.
"So what you were doing when I stopped you was showing her that place?" I was damn curious about her answer.
"That was it, people like should be shown who their superiors are and know their place. She hid so therefore she needs punishment." She acted like I should know this.
"Should I treat you like that?" I questioned.
"Why should you? I am not hiding from you." I could see some of her saucinesses creeping up.
"True but I did not give you a chance to." I reached down to help Adele stand. I moved her between Mortou and I's bodies. "Also you did mouth back to me." My words I knew held no emotion. They never did have emotion. My autism seemed to affect that too. The Mateo girl's brown eyes flashed fear before they glanced at Adele then back to me.
"Is she under your protection?" There was a side I knew that made this girl get in calculating mode. I could see her wheels turning in how she could make this her advantage.
"My surveillance and guidance yes." I glanced at Adele. Mortou had placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. Like he did with my sister a million times.
"So that means she has no protection." The Mateo girl's ponytail swung slightly as she thought out loud.
"She has my protection," Mortou grunted. He was eyeing this girl closely.
Miss Mateo jerked her eyes up so fast that her ponytail whipped back and forth. "Who are you?" You could see her eyeing him closely.
"The cursed bear," Mortou grunted. I knew deep down he enjoyed what that brought out in people.
Again this young girl's face rocked back on her heels and you saw surprise pop across her features. "What is your interest in her bear?" She fired back her question with not much lag.
"To see she gets proper treatment and grows to her potential," Mortou added with his mini scowl. "I dislike seeing people treated badly." He again threw a new loop at her.
I watched her wheels turn again, she looked at me to see how I took it. She saw nothing but my mask of indifference I learned to use. I could see she was getting nothing and it frustrated her. You could see it etched into her brown eyes.
"Now to send you to your new class and reprimand you for your insubordination with me." I looked down my nose at her.
Felix, I need you in the training field. I mind-linked the head trainer.
Yes of course. Be there in five. He responded immediately.
"Miss Mateo, you will go to the kitchens for the next month. Your tasks will be given to you by the head omega in charge. Should you say anything that sounds like a nor or try to use your devious nature I will extend it. Know I have eyes everywhere." I knew her doing servant work would offend her. But the whole reason I did it was that a good dose of humility was in store for her.
"I have lessons and appointments for family affairs that need doing." She threw in her haughty nature surfacing again.
"Those words just added another month. It will be scheduled for your free time." I again looked down at her to watch anger flash across her face.
Her eyes found Adele again. "You did this!" Miss Mateo screeched. Mortou stepped a little more in front of Adele.
"Nope, Miss Mateo all this is a direct reflection of your actions. Which include three months of kitchen duty-free time work." I added another month just because. "If you are not careful, I will have you mucking out my sister's stable of horses," I grunted. Dirty manual work, yep that would be the next step.
"You cannot do this!" She shouted. Stomping her foot, tears surfacing her eyes. "I am the first daughter of the Mateo family." There was a massive amount of emotion pouring off her now.
"Yep, four months now. Switched from kitchen duty to Stables." I leaned down just a bit so I was close to her. "I can do what needs to be done when parents don't have a handle on their children's deeds." Miss Mateo slapped me, the smack was loud enough it echoed in the field.
"Sir?" I heard Felix say with shaky surprise.
The slap had not bothered me. I had another plan for that. "Adele Calvo will be training with my family from now on. Specifically, Mortou while he is here. Miss Mateo will be moved to a class with other wolves. She will also be training twice is hard. So find a ranked class for her. When she is not training I want her escorted to the stables for the next month where Amos can give tasks that will be done for the next five months." I looked back down at her, "Escort her to her rooms she will be taking meals not scheduled for family events there. That way she can catch up on studies." I watched her wolf flash it's black eyes at me. Ty's flashed in response. Miss Mateo shrank back as most wolves do in his presence.
"You will be hearing from my father." She whimpered as Felix took her away.
