Steph held her breath for a moment, perfectly balanced between wanting to know more about what might be going on in Lightning Gap and wanting to hold on to the blissful warmth of the day.
The strangely familiar comfort of spending so much time with Kim, as if not a day had passed and nothing had changed between them. The fact that so many things had changed about them only made their connection stronger.
