Chapter 12 The one change Bobby made after Steph deserted him was in his office at home. The one part of the house he’d managed to keep more or less to himself, and for himself, with minimal interference. The space was less than half of what he enjoyed at work, with one puny window that looked out over their boring suburban backyard. Neatly trimmed green grass, tame maple and dogwood trees, ordinary rounded flowerbeds with predictable, low-maintenance specimens tucked inside.
