Chapter 2 - Finding her

*Him*
The four soldiers fanned out as per instruction by David.
They were ready to breach the crumbling building.
They were on a peace keeping mission, and were sent to help civilians being held hostage.
Ulric, his wolf, started getting frantic in David's mind. David gave his unit a halt signal.
"What's up bud?" David quickly spoke to his wolf.
"Something smells off. I can't put my finger on it...."
Not long after he said that the building exploded, David watched as his unit were tossed in every direction....David began to panic. His unit were only humans. He frantically searched in the rubble. He found human remains that had been decapitated and a blood everywhere......
But this scene soon changed. Always a blonde woman...she would seduce him, kiss him...touch him....
"David.....David....DAVID!!"
He woke with a start. Head to toe in sweat. He had the same nightmare night after night.
He jumped out of bed, grabbed a towel from his bathroom to wipe the sweat from his face, and went to see who was causing all the racket at his door.
It was Alpha William.
"A..Alpha...what can I do for you..?" He stuttered and slightly bowed his head.
"We have found someone who might now where Nicholas is. Go have a shower, get dressed. I need you to pick up a women from this address..."
" Yes Alpha." William then walked away leaving David to himself. David shut his bedroom door. This is the first task the Alpha has given him since he returned to the pack last week. He was soon to take over his father's position as Beta.
He looked at the address. It wasn't far from packlands. He got in the shower washed away last night's nightmare and then dressed in cargo pants and his dog tags hitting his chest as he pulled on his black t shirt. He still wore his combat boots out of habit.
He clompes down the stairs, and out to the garage. He grabbed the keys to a blue Mercedes. He wistled as he got into the car.
He turned the key and put the radio on. 'Summee of 69' by Bryan Adams was playing. As he reversed out of the garage he was singing along and tapping on the steering wheel.
He pulled out his Oakley sunglasses from the glovebox and put them on and then headed for the address the Alpha gave him.
When he turned into th Street he squinted as he read the house numbers.
"Eleven.... thirteen.... fifteen...there you are..."
He pulled up outside. There was a red hatchback in the driveway.
He climbed out of the Mercedes, and took off his sunglasses. He went to the door.
Ulric began to howl. There was a delicious smell wafting from the house. It smelt like Jasmine.
He coughed bas he rang the door bell.
A women's voice spoke from inside. " That must be the werewolves come to pick us up."
The women opened the door.
David cleared his throat before introducing himself. "Hi, I'm David, I'm Williams Beta, and I'm here too....."
He suddenly looked past the women, and started sniffing the air. The other women was beautiful. She was a tiny brunette with bright pink tips in her hair. Her Hazel eyes went wide with shock then she stood up and started screeching
"Oh, no, no, no! That cannot be true...get away from me!"
David growled. "Mine"
He then ran past the other women to get to his mate,
chasing her around the loungeroom. He caught her around the waist and then took a deep breath in.
"Oh my little mate, I've been waiting forever for you."
"Help me" she mouthed to her friend. Her friend just
laughed.
The first women gathered her things before saying to David.
" I believe your Alpha is waiting for me, so let's get going. "
That's when David noticed there was also a little girl with them. David heard the women address the child.
"Come with me little one. Its time to rescue your dad."
'hmm guess I better bring all three ladies with me. The Alpha can sort it' David thought to himself.
The girl picked up her school bag and headed for the door.
David's mate was still screeching at him, so he picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. On their way out the door she started thumping her fists on Davids back.
"Put me down you big brute!"
David did put her down and she was about to run away when he grabbed her again.
He opened the passenger door and pushed her in the car.
The little girl shoved her school bag in the car before saying
"I need a car seat."
David grinned.
"Its fine sweetheart, we aren't going far, besides the police in this town know the Alpha." He then winked at her.
"Ok if mister says so..."
Once all the little girl and both women were belted in, David drove off heading back to the packlands.
During the twenty minute drive David kept looking at his mate.
She was facing away from him looking out the window.
David heard the other women gently talking to the little girl.
"Hey, it's ok. We will find him."
David looked in the rear view mirror before mind linking with his Alpha.
"Alpha I have picked up the women, however I have two other passengers that I've brought with me too. One I believe is the missing wolfs daughter, and the other is actually.....my mate."
That last one David said proudly.
"Ok David. Well done. I'll be waiting out front when you get here. I've given the patrols a heads up that you are coming back with an extra person so they aren't to hassle you on your way back. They will wave you through. Once you get here we'll be having a meeting, and as on coming Beta I'd like you to be present" .
"Yes Alpha." He closed off the mindlink before he spoke out loud to the women.
"Ok ladies, we are only a couple of minutes away from the Alphas house. Alpha will meet you guys out front and then you will be going to his office to chat."
He said in a matter of fact way. He then turned to his mate.
"My little dove, you will stay within my sight, no wondering off."
His mate groaned and then mumbled something before looking out the window.
David realised he was so excited to find his mate, he hadn't asked her what her name was.
'its ok, I'll just ask her when we get to the packhouse.' he thought to himself. Nothing could wipe the smile off his face.....
