Chapter 18 Bronze Coffin

1250 Words
There was a muffled sound, then the two men fell to the ground, trembling and clutching their stomachs.   "Oh, it is so fast..." A bastard said, vomiting blood.   The shadow was short-lived, and before they knew it, Robert was standing behind them.   "I didn't want to beat you..." Robert shrugged, then picked up a plate of leftovers from the table and threw it in front of the two bastards like trash.   They wiped the blood from the corners of their mouths, staring at Robert in horror, "What... what do you want to do?”   "Eat it if you don’t want to die!" Robert shouted sharply and loudly, with a strong appearance.   “He is so... so handsome...” Adele blushed and mumbled to herself as she stood beside him silently.   The two men looked at each other, and one of them stood up suddenly, raising his fist at Robert, "s**t! I will fight with you until the end!"   Robert smiled coldly, and stopped his fist with one hand, and punched him back. The impact was so hard that the man thought he was going to vomit all of his internal organs on to the floor.   "You will not win or have a pleasant demise by provoking me!” Robert said as he kicked one of the men in the ribs. His chest cavity was almost sunken, and dark red blood flowed out of his mouth.     "His ribs were shattered by a kick. How powerful is he?" A doctor among the onlookers was in awe.   The second man was so frightened that he pissed his pants, then crawled over to the plate of food and ate the leftover like a dog. He begged, “Spare my life! I will eat it all, I swear!”   Robert smiled, spit on the plate, then pulled Adele away from the gruesome scene.   When he reached the door, he turned his head and dropped the black and gold bank card, "This is for your medical expenses... Of course, it may also be funeral expenses."   The moment Robert and Adele returned to school, they saw the students and teachers of Portledge School were running to the back hill. Was there an earthquake or something?   Robert asked a classmate, "Is something wrong? Is everyone running out there?”   "Robert, don't you know? A classmate found a huge coffin in the back mountain!" The student said.   "How big is it?" Adele asked curiously.   "It almost as big as a truck! They asked for an excavator to come dig it out! I have to go this is so thrilling!”   After that, the student bolted away; Robert wanted to follow him but he was frozen. He couldn’t even imagine who or what would have a coffin the size of a truck.   Adele grabbed his hand, and Robert snapped out of his daze. They rushed to the mountain to see a bronze coffin large enough to hold hundreds of people. The excavator was just starting to dig around it, while a crane tried to lift it out.   When some of the students saw Robert and Adele together there were whistles and comments.   "Oh, the school’s perfect couple is here! We are filled with envy!" One yelled.   Adele blushed and let go of Robert’s hand, she did grab his arm though. Robert hadn’t even realized, he was too caught up in the excitement. He just hoped Abby hadn’t see them.   Someone shouted, “It’s out of the ground!”   With a loud bang, the bronze coffin was hoisted up by the crane. There were many patterns carved on the coffin, dragons and tigers, and it looked dignified, revealing an astonishing presence.   When Robert looked at the location where the coffin was buried, he discovered that there was a hole underneath, slightly smaller than the coffin. He realized that the coffin was covering the hole and immediately opened his ghost eyes. He had an ominous premonition, the dark, endless hole was full of Yin spirit. Robert assumed that if a person was to fall in to the hole, they would be killed by the ghosts the Yin spirit produced. He was happy though, it was another big vault for him to kill ghosts and gain points.   "Congratulations on the host for successfully exploring the Ghost Nest!"   Ghost Nest Difficulty: A+ Opening conditions: Enter the hole with a ghost at midnight BOSS: Ghost (Hidden BOSS, Ghost the General) Reward: 5,000 points and experience respectively Reward for destroying the hidden BOSS: A Book for Earthly Skill   Robert saw a Book for Earthly Skill, but the challenge was not cost-effective. It had points and experience that increased a lot, yet the skill book had dropped by one level. He was going to work on it anyway, he could use the chance to upgrade his level. With the five thousand experience points, the system would raise his ability to the next level.   The only problem was that he had to go into the hole with a ghost. Robert immediately thought of Jessica, but she had just escaped from the ghosts that were chasing her. It seemed wrong to ask her to go into a ghost den, yet he had no choice, he had to talk to her.   Robert sighed, and as soon as he closed his ghost eyes, he saw a male teacher following the safety rope and going down into the hole to have a check. The other students followed suit.   "Do not go down there!" Robert rushed forward to stop him. If he went down there, he may not come back.   "Why?" The male teacher asked pushing his glasses up on his nose.   Robert coughed slightly, "I think... it's better to ask professionals to check it first, so as to avoid any accidents. Maybe there is an ancient tomb below..."   "That's true!" The male teacher was probably a little bit scared, and when he unhooked from the safety rope, he started discussing with other teachers about calling the archaeological team.   Since there was nothing more to see the large group began to disperse.   Robert walked to his room and asked Jessica to sit down so they could talk. He lowered his head and said, “Jessica, tonight I want to invite you to…”   Jessica quickly interrupted and put her arms around Robert’s neck, “You changed your mind! You want to do that with me?”     “No, you are too young for that kind of thing, Jessica. I want you to do me a favor,” He finally spit out. He could believe that all she thought about was s*x.   "What’s up?" She was cuddling up to Robert, rubbing her hands on him.   Robert felt gross, he knew if he had s*x with her, he could go to prison she was so young. He pretended to ignore her, “There is a big coffin on the hill, and there is a hole beneath it. I want to explore it, but I need you to accompany me.”   Jessica grinned, "Are you scared? Aren't you super good at killing ghosts?"   "No..." Robert felt embarrassed and couldn’t make anything up so he said, "I am not familiar with the road, but you are, so you must be my guide."   "Okay, but... Robert, you have to..." When Jessica finished speaking, she had an evil smile on her face, "You have to kiss me first..."
