When Robert left the school with Adele, he had exchanged three thousand points for cash. He knew it would be near impossible to do anything without cash.
"There really is ten million..." The counter clerk was shaking when holding the money.
The president was in shock, he held up his finger to signal one minute. He ran to his office, then came back and forced a black and gold card into Robert’s hand.
He sounded nervous as he said, “Young man, this is our VIP card. We look forward to working with you in the future!”
"Thank you, but I do have one question," Robert looked at the counter clerk and said to the president.
"Yes, please go ahead!" The president exclaimed.
"I heard that your bank requires a $10,000 deposit just to apply for a bank card. That seems very demanding,” Robert smiled.
"Who said this?” The president's face turned red with anger.
"This guy!" Adele pointed to the counter clerk suddenly.
"Is that true?” The president turned to stare at the counter clerk.
"Slander! Absolutely slander!" The counter attendant denied the accusation.
"Should we check the surveillance video then?" Robert said coldly.
The question hit the counter clerk like a ton of bricks. He knelt on the ground and began to beg, “Mr. President, I will never say that again! Please don’t fire me!”
"Young man, I will leave it up to you on how to deal with him. I fully respect your opinion,” The president told Robert kindly.
Robert pointed to the man on the floor and said, “It is okay, I am very open-minded and I don’t think he should be fired. However, he should scrub the bathroom and complete any errands that need to be done!”
"Yes, sir!" The president nodded, "I'll make arrangements right away."
"Very well, I will be back in the future!” Robert said and walked out.
Suddenly, a bank employee realized that Robert and Adele were wearing school uniforms, “Look at their clothing! He must be the son of a big boss at a huge company!”
The crowd was stunned.
"Robert, you are so rich! I thought you were very poor," Adele lowered her head and blushed.
"You underestimated me. By the way, what do you want to eat?" Robert smiled slightly.
Adele blushed again and whispered, “As long as I am with you, it doesn’t matter what we eat…”
Robert swore to himself, he already had Jessica and Abby on his mind, now there was Adele. He smiled slightly, he didn’t dare worry about price when inviting a wealthy girl like Adele to dinner. Finally, he decided on a three-star Michelin restaurant.
"Well, students of Portledge School, what would you like to eat?” The waiter grinned and handed them each a menu.
Robert looked at the price and nearly gasped out loud. A bowl of fried rice was a few hundred dollars, and a steak was over one thousand dollars. If this had been a few weeks earlier, he would not have been able to afford it. However, he didn’t worry about the price, he was trying to decide what he wanted when he overheard two people at the next table mocking him.
"Oh, those poor students from Portledge. They have some money but I am the boss of Staten Island Academy. It is a piece of cake to outdo them, look at him, inviting his girlfriend to a fancy restaurant for dinner. They probably won’t even buy much, they are just here to show off.”
"Yes, the idiots from Portledge are completely annoying. Did you see how pathetic he looks in that uniform? I totally agree he they won’t order much!”
Adele was so angry, "They are going way too far!”
"Just watch this and see their reaction,” Robert said, and motioned for the waiter to come and take their order. When he arrived at the table, Robert confidently said, “Give us one of everything on the menu!”
"The entire menu?” The waiter couldn't believe what he just heard, "Are you serious?"
Robert nodded, "Of course!"
"Robert, it will be a waste of food? There is no way we will be able to finish all of that food!” Adele exclaimed.
"Then we just get them to feed it to the dogs!” Robert grinned.
The two men who were mocking him were speechless. They wondered how rich he was to order everything on the menu at such an expensive restaurant. One whispered, but it was still loud enough for Robert to hear, “Just wait and see, I bet they won’t be able to pay for it. I can’t believe that a poor Portledge student can spend that much on a meal!”
The waiter began bringing dishes to the table, but there were so many that Robert and Adele were only able to get a few bites of each before they were taken away and more were brought. Carrying all of the dishes back and forth from the kitchen exhausted the waiter but he continued until Robert and Adele were full. He was thankful they were done but there was still at least a dozen more dishes that they hadn’t tasted.
"I guess we are ready to pay the bill!” Robert told the waiter.
“Yes, sir. The total is $224,600!” The waiter told Robert and handed him a long bill.
"Swipe the card!" Robert placed the newly black card on the table.
The waiter fiddled with the debit machine, it showed how much was in Robert’s account. The waiter was stunned, and sighed, “Ten million…shit!”
"Swipe a hundred thousand more for your tip!" Robert sipped on his drink and smiled.
The waiter thanked Robert numerous times and Robert told him not to take away the dishes that were on the table just yet. Robert picked up the leftovers and took them to the table were the two men were sitting.
"You can have these, my treat!” He smirked.
Looking at the leftovers, the men were furious. They stood up abruptly and cursed, "What the hell are you doing? Are you an i***t?! If you are looking for trouble, you just need to say it! I am really trying not to lose my temper!”
"Hey, don't cause a commotion!” The waiter wanted to ease the tension, but one of the men kick him.
"f**k you, the rich men have the final say!" He spat at the waiter.
"How can you just beat people?” Robert shouted.
Adele argued, "You were just scolding us!"
"Ouch, beauty, come here, let me have a touch," The bastard laughed wretchedly, and reached out to touch Adele's breast.
"Get away from her!" Robert slapped the man’s hand.
"You are asking for trouble, right? Do you think you can take both of us down on your own?” The other man asked, “Boy, if you are smart, you will let us play with your girlfriend for a few days!”
At this time, some other diners began to gather around and watch them.
"Portledge School is going to suffer this time. They can’t afford to offend two of the most important people at Staten Island Academy,” someone whispered.
"Yeah, it is said that they have killed people Let's get out of here!” another person replied.
Adele was ready to cry and Robert was extremely angry.
"What's the matter? Are you scared?" The two bastards laughed.
"Coward, get out of here! Oh, by the way, leave your girlfriend here! Haha..."
Before they finished, they saw a dark shadow passing by.
