I couldn't sleep well. I kept having this horrible nightmare. In it, I was in a house watching Adeline as she smiled at Rowan. She was thanking him for saving her from her shitty boyfriend. Saying things like he was better in bed, which he is in reality.
I once hit on a girl who Rowan had slept with. We'd f****d but she expressed her disappointment at the end. I don't like competing with him. I can never win.
Seeing her wrap her arms around him, kiss him, and tell him words I hoped she would never say to anyone else made that dream a f*****g horror show for me. And I couldn't do anything.
I tried screaming at her, telling her not to do this. That I could change, but I didn't exist in her world. And that…. Well that hurt.
