Third Person POV
"Where is she b***h!" He screamed barging into Velma's house. Velma was at her balcony so she saw him when he was coming.
"What is it Pharrell, why are you howling like a wounded foolish dog?"
"Watch your words w***e. Now, where is she?. I know you are hiding her here."
"Where is who?" She asked, raising her left brow in a way that showed that she isn't moved by his anger.
"Where is the she-devil you are working with to destroy my marriage, great reputation, and life? Where is she?"
"Gran reputación mi pie( Great reputation my foot)"
"Oh I am in no mood for your Spanish nonsense. Tell me where she is or else?!"
"Or else what? What can you do? I don't know who you are talking about. Now get out of my house."
"I will find her, and when I do, I will teach you both a lesson not to mess with me." He bawled talking with a loud deep voice.
"You can do your worst Lucifer. Now out." She pointed to her door waiting for him to leave. He looked her over with wild eyes and she didn't hesitate to mirror that same countenance. They were like two wild animals fighting over a girl.
"And hey Smith, next time you barged into my house like that, I will make sure that is your last on earth. That day, I will make sure to teach you who the real boss is. A traitor like you is not welcomed in a holy home." he huffed then left with his ego obviously wounded.
"That was brave of you dear. It's high time that arrogant boy is put in check." Louisa said pleased that Velma for once has shown her stronger side.
"Where is Liana. Where did she go?!" She bellowed finding the truth that, Liana went out in the morning without informing them and has since not been back.
"I am going to take my rest. Inform me when she gets home."
Liana's POV
"You!" I said shocked that the lady's brother was no other than my boss.
"Liana, how are you doing?"
"Erm, I am fine, thank you."
"That's alright. We found you in the rain. My doctor checked you and he said you need these medications." He handed the brown paper that contained the medicines to me. There was a deafening silence in the room, with each of us lost in thoughts. I felt ashamed that he has seen me in such a vulnerable state. For God's sake, he is my boss, he shouldn't have seen me stranded in the rain.
"So.. Where were you going in the rain?" He questioned, staring at me intensely, His blue eyes looking like they could see through me. His question brought back memories I would have rather forgotten.
"I..I was going home but there was no cab around." I answered truthfully
"Then couldn't you have waited at where you went rather than walking in that freezing cold heavy rain?"
"I went to see someone but I got to know he has traveled so I was returning home when the rain started." I bowed my head, not able to look at him since I was lying. What if he could see through me and know the truth.
"Hey, I brought you my very own special soup." The pleasant lady whose name I learned was Amanda said. I lifted my head to see her walking towards us with a tray of food. I was well aware that Heath was still staring at me and trust me, it made me uncomfortable.
"Thank you ma'am, but you shouldn't have bothered. I will get going now."
I was hungry but how can I eat with the boss digging holes all over my body with his intense gaze. From the corner of my eyes, I saw him watching my every movement and was right in front of me in a blink of an eye when I stood up to leave.
"Sorry Lia, but you are not going anywhere. The doctor's orders." He said, his hunky body preventing me from moving any further.
"But I can't stay here. I have to go home and get ready for work. It's almost time and I have to go now if you don't want me to be late."
"Your life is more important than my money. And talking of work, you are fired!" I stared at him with my mouth opened but no words came out. I was trying to register what he just said.
"Did you say I am fired?"
"Exactly, you are not allowed to work at the club anymore."
"What! You can't do that to me. I need this job and that too now more than ever please don't do this to me."
"I wish there was another way but I will not put you in danger. Here, this is the p*****t for the time you have been with us. You can keep the clothes I bought for you. They are gifts." He said, with his eyes diverted away from me. He was no longer looking at me but rather behind me.
"Sit down and eat your meal. I will take you home when you are better."
"Amanda, I will be back. The clients I told you about are at club La Casablanca so I need to go right now. Please take care of her and never let her out of your sight. I will be back immediately I am done with them." He told his sister and without any glance at me, he left making me oddly feel unprotected. Even though he just fired me and I am mad at him, his presence held an aura of security and warmth but now the room has turned cold.
"Don't worry he will be back before you know it." She chuckled as if she could read my mind. "Go ahead and eat up. You need the energy."
She also exited the room, closing the door behind her. Left alone, I munched on the food like someone who hasn't eaten in a whole month.
"Take your time or you might choke." My mind warned. There was no way I was going to listen to that caution. My hunger and the deliciousness of the meal wouldn't permit me to take my time.
Five minutes later, I was done with all the food on my tray so I carried the now empty tray and plates and went out of the room to take them to the kitchen which surprisingly wasn't difficult to locate considering how huge the house is.
I washed the plates then went to the living room. There was no sign of Amanda so I found it the perfect time to escape. I didn't know how long she would be gone thus I made it quickly to the front door and gently but quietly opened it and made a ran for it. I have had enough rest and I have eaten so much that I felt I have gained weight from it. But I felt energized and I used that energy to run far from here where I could cry out my pain and I wouldn't be a burden on anyone. I also thought of Velma and how worried she would be by now.
Pharrell's POV.
"Hey man, sorry I kept you waiting. I just finished the meeting with the Chinese. Whats's up?" Heath asked taking the seat in front of mine.
"I am f****d up man. I don't know what to do and it seems Carmine doesn't trust me." I voiced out, taking the glass to my lips, emptying its content into my mouth, and winced as it burned my throat.
"What are you talking about? Are you having problems with her?"
"There is this gir......"
"Sir, sorry to interrupt but Mr. Chu just called, he said his boss wants to see you right now and that it's urgent." Lumi informed, and Heath turned his attention back to me, having an apologetic look on his face.
"Be careful bro, we will talk about this immediately I get back. Let me go and see what they want." He said, pushed his chair back, and was about to leave when his phone started ringing.
"Hello!..... What do you mean she is gone?!"
