Nicholas and I were sitting on each other's beds and no one was opening the conversation we just agreed to start on. I kept on looking on him and he was only rubbing his two hands, looking around and a bit smiling awkwardly.

"I am waiting for your words." I said to him and he nodded.

"I know and I was searching for the right words to say." he answered.

"Do not filter it out, or else any lie and I will be out of this." I firmly said to him.

He stood up walked towards me and I was only staring on me, he wanted the assurance, I could definitely see that from his reactions and his non verbal communications towards me. But I do not want any assumptions coming from my brain and feeding my thoughts doubting myself if that would be the truth or just a white lie- I want everything from him.

"Aki, first of all, wolves are true and they are not just mythical creatures living at the mountains." he started and I cannot help myself from chuckling a bit.

"I am not joking here." his serious face says it all through me.

"I know and I am sorry." I answered to him and tried keeping a straight face.

"I am a---" he did not continue his words, or should I say, he did not have the chance to continue his words as someone knocked on the door.

We looked on each other, I stood up to get that knock but he blocked my way and smiled on me. He walked ahead and opened the door. I saw a familiar face and I think that he is one of Caleb's underlings, that cold one. Our gazes met and he smirked on me- I do not know what is the meaning of that but after their conversation, Nicholas quickly closed the door and quickly approached his closet.

"Where are you going?" I asked to him and he let out a deep sigh.

"You do not have to know." he plainly answered to me.

"But you got to tell me what is happening." I complained as I followed him towards the door.

"I changed my mind, you do not have to know." he answered and opened it. I grabbed his shoulder and forced him to look back on me.

"Are you kidding me?" I exclaimed and he smirked.

"Do not forget, I am 'that' Nicholas, no one could ever ask my decisions." he firmly answered and removed my hand on his shoulder and leave.

I went out from the door and looked on his back walking downstairs. I just cannot understand him, the minute you tried to agree on his terms, the exact minute the wind blows exactly on opposite direction. I did have any choice, I go back to the room and lie on the bed, I stare on the ceiling for some minutes before I straight away get up and grabbed my phone. I tried to call on either Lily or Yuki, anyone between them who might have the time to spend with me instead of their newly found circle of connections.

"Aki? Is there something wrong?" Lily answered but I could hear the loud music on the background of the call.

"Where are you? Are you drunk?" I asked to her and she started to laugh.

"Me? Of course not! Why would I be?" she yelled but she sounds so wasted to me.

"Pick me up here at the sorority house, I am pretending to be drunk." she quickly whispered through the call and I scoffed.

"Me? Why would I be picking you up? Ask Yuki." I answered to her.

"Yuki is not answering and you got to pick me here or else I would announce that we are dating." she threatened me.

"But we are not." I answered.

"That is the idea, that is why pick me up." she answered and I let out a deep sigh.

"Alright, be there at five. Do not ever pretend to be asleep." I said but she ended the call without saying goodbye.

I looked on the clock and it was still early in the evening, just how long does she keep on drinking with those people? I grabbed a jacket and went out, I also keep on calling Yuki but as how Lily said, he is not picking up. I just decided to call Yuki after five minutes and run towards the house of the sorority. I see people coming in and out from the house, the music was playing too loud and any minute, police might come because of neighbors complains- but there were not.

I entered the house and students are dancing in the living room, of course the main place for dancing, there were making out on each corner of the house and even at the front yard when I entered earlier. I started looking for her, I even go up at the second floor and check every rooms in there but I got no luck with it. Then, I decided to call her phone, she was not answering and that made me worried. She picked the call up like five minutes ago and how could she get drunk within those minutes before I called her now? I also tried to call again Yuki but still no luck, all of my calls for them were just going straight towards their mailboxes and all missed.

Then, I saw that girl who talked to me at the classroom. And I believe her name was Scarlette.

"You are Lily's friend, right?" she asked to me as she saw me trying to ignore her.

"Yeah, have you seen her?" I asked and trying to look like I was busy finding for her.

"No, I did not see her since earlier. Looks like she was already drunk and wasted somewhere." she answered and I just nodded for an answer. She did not know that Lily was just pretending to be drunk just to get away.

"Is that so? Then, let me look for her." I said and she nodded for an answer.

"Alright, just do not enter the warehouse at the back of the house." she said and left me alone..

She should not told me any of that. Now, I am curious and starting to walk towards the back of the house as what she said. There were still people partying in this area, there is a pool and they were having drinks by the pool. I spotted the warehouse that she told me not to go, I looked around, checking if people can notice me going to that direction- but thankfully, they were all busy playing and partying around. I quickly run towards that warehouse and moved the huge steel door- it was unlocked like it was inviting me to enter.

"Lily?" I yelled and my voice started to echo towards the inside of the place.

"Are you here, Lily?" I asked once again and trying to search for the place.

"Aki?" I heard someone's voice.

"Lily? Is that you?" I asked and walked towards the direction where the voice is coming from.

"Aki!" And the call started to be a loud cry for help.

"Yuki?! Why are you here?" I asked to him as soon as I saw him standing by the corner.

"Aki, look." his fingers and hand were trembling and I would take that as a fear and I looked towards the direction where he pointing at.

"Lily!!!" I yelled and run towards her. She was lying on the floor, bathing with her own blood.

"Yuki! What happened in here?" I exclaimed to him and he was a bit crying and his mind was out of place.

"Let us call for help." I exclaimed and pulled out my phone to call the police and emergency.

"Hello?! My friend is hurt you have to go here immediately!" I yelled when someone received my emergency call.

People started to walk inside the warehouse, as our voice and yells were echoing, of course they could hear us from the outside.

The party automatically stopped and people are prohibited to leave the house and other premised of this place. The police came and they started questioning the people who attended the party especially Yuki, the primary witness of the case and the potential suspect as what the detectives said. I am sitting by the ambulance and looked on how they questioned Yuki, he was in fear but those hyenas still trying to squeeze something out of him so I get up and walked towards them.

"My friend is in shock. He needs to be taken to the hospital before he answer your questions." I said to them and they was about to say anything when I shook my head.

"I will not take no for an answer. You can have us watched but my friend needs to rest first." I said and they let out a deep sigh before letting us leave.

"Yuki, can you tell me first what happened earlier?" I quickly asked to him when we went away from the detectives.

"Nicholas asked me to go to the sorority party as their hazing-like instructions and told me to get something from the warehouse." he started and I remembered that Nicholas just went out from the room earlier probably an hour ago.

"But he was with me before he left, how could he instructed you to do that?" I exclaimed and he shrugged his shoulders.

"I have no idea but he is really the one who said those words to my face." he answered.

"And what is Lily doing there?" I exclaimed.

"I already saw her like that when I came in, I do not know what to do so I cannot ask for help until you came in." he explained to me.

"And Scarlette told me about the warehouse." I mumbled.

"But she is not Nicholas' underlings." Yuki argued and I scoffs.

"Don't forget who are we talking right now. It was the mighty Nicholas." I answered to him.

Everything is not merely an accident. It was all planned out and the three of us were being played on someone's palm.

And, I got to know who is that person behind these tricks.
