HOW CAN I STAY WITH HIM

Bella’s P.O.V.

Exhaustion was a small word for me now. I was almost at the death bed. I needed a long hot bath, a comfy bed and time to sleep as long as I could sleep. So, I decided to get a nap before landing back in Florida. I only had a few hours of sleep in the night and that was on that cramped space of that couch. I shared that space with my boss yesterday night because he was also looking tired. No matter how much I hated him for tormenting me, I cared for him. He was an aspiring businessman and was doing everything to get success for his company. I didn’t have any problem sharing the space with him because I knew that he felt nothing for me and that was a plus point in our relationship.

I got the message from Ryan and I was really upset that I was continuously changing our date timings. He had sent his pic to me and boy…. He was so handsome. He was not as handsome as my boss was… still he was handsome and perfect for me. Mr Axel Lockwood was off-limit for me and I knew how high I could fly. Also, in my working period of two years with him, he even never acknowledged me as a girl. For him, I was a human-robot who could work for any length of time.

“Did you check everything?” Axel asked me before boarding the plane. “Yeah… everything is okay… except one thing”, I looked at with a tired look. I wanted to sleep and why on earth, he didn’t have those drowsy eyes that he should have now. He also didn’t get that much-needed sleep. “Don’t tell me that we have to share bed this time too?” he whined and I passed him my sheepish smile.

“No”, he groaned in irritation and I grinned. “We didn’t get the reservation for two at the last moment. So, I did what I thought was better that time”, I tried to explain everything in a very sleepy voice to him. I wanted to sleep. Why he couldn’t understand that I needed to sleep for better functioning later. Suddenly he scooted near him taking me off guard and rested my head on his shoulder. “Sleep now”, he commanded and I sighed.

I just obeyed his order at slept on his shoulder making myself comfortable around him. I felt him wrapping his hand around my shoulder and then he put his head on the top of my head. I didn’t think what he was doing right now. I was comfortable and sleepy. He was too broad and muscular and I felt that I had the most comfortable pillow under my head.

“Wake up… we are about to land”, I heard his hoarse voice and looked up at him with sleepy eyes. His eyes were also sleepy that made me smile. Suddenly he started leaning down on me. I didn’t lift my head and looked at him without making any move. I felt his hot breaths fanning my face and I closed my eyes. Before I could register what was happening, he cupped my face and then I felt something so soft pressing on my lips that made me whimper sending sparks all over my body.

My hand was around his neck and I tightened my grip on his neck making him moan in satisfaction. I was never kissed before and I didn’t know what to do right now. My mind was numb and I felt that the time had stopped right now. “Open your mouth, Bella”, he whispered without leaving my lips and my body acted its own. I parted my lips and he sucked my bottom lips, licked them and did everything that he could do with my lips.

He broke the kiss and my eyes were still close. I heard the announcement and then something snapped inside me. I jerked away from him while looking at him with wide eyes in shock. I put both of my hands on my face in shock. I just kissed my boss… NO…. the wrong statement…. My jerk boss… kissed me… :”Why did you do that?” I yelled and he only smirked without looking at me.

“Let’s get down”, he said in a very casual tone and stood up. I was looking at him without blinking. I felt that he had grown two horns like the devil from hell. Yeah… he.. he was a devil from hell. “Stand up, Bella”, I heard his irritating voice and I cursed him with all the bad words that I knew till today. I stood up and took my bag. We went out of the plane and then went to collect our bags. We both were walking together without talking to each other.

My mind was in chaos. It was the first time that someone kissed me and I never in my dreams, I thought that my first kiss would be with my so-called arrogant boss. How could I do this? How on earth did it happen? We spent almost three hours together on that couch in a… in a.. very intimate position…. Nothing happened… then why on earth he kiss me now?

There were so many questions in my mind and I had no answer to any of my questions. I sighed internally because I knew that it would not go out of my mind any soon. We took our luggage and headed out of the airport. I already had talked with the hotel that we needed a car for the rest of our stay here. Both Axel and I were in the mood of finalizing everything this time so that we didn’t need to come back again here. Now, the second thing was to ask the hotel manager to arrange another room for me. I couldn’t stay with my boss now.

“What are you thinking so deeply?” I heard his voice after boarding our car that the hotel sent for us. “Uhh… it’s nothing… I need to talk with the person there”, I said completely ignoring him and taking out my phone. Before I could open my phone, he snatched my phone from my hand. “Hey”, I protested and moved towards him. “You are avoiding me now?” he asked me while moving his hand with my phone a little away from him.

“Why would I do that?” I asked while eyeing my phone. I even didn’t want to look at his face right now. “Bella”, he called me but I ignored her call. “Look at me”, he commanded and I sighed. I guessed I shouldn’t travel with him too. I looked at him while masking my expression. My heart was pounding hard in my chest.

He chuckled at my expressions and said, “You know I can hear your heartbeat. It’s so loud”. I immediately remove my gaze from him and looked away in another direction. Okay… it was hard to stay with him in the same space after what happened on the plane. “You know… I will kiss you again whenever I feel to do so”, I shuddered hard when I heard him so close to my ear that his breath was at my neck.

“C… can you stay a little away from me… you are making me uncomfortable”, I said without making a single move. He chuckled and I felt his lips lightly brushed the back of my neck sending all those sparks all over my body again. I didn’t say a thing the whole ride and stayed looking outside the window as if there was really something amazing out there when my mind was frequently playing the same thing again and again.

We reached the hotel and I asked him to go inside for checking in meanwhile I would take care of our luggage. He nodded and without saying anything else went inside. I took a deep breath and slumped down my shoulders. How on earth would I survive this trip? With the hotel boy, I headed towards our room and that was when the realization hit me hard that I have totally forgotten. We were going to stay in the same room!!!!!!!

I panicked while face palming myself. We were inside the elevator and the server looked at me with a worried expression. "Ma'am... are you alright?" he asked me and I came out of my stance. "Yeah.. yeah.. I am fine", I asked him while regaining my composure. Inside, I was screaming at myself. In the past, we had shared the room so many times but this time.... it was next to impossible for me to stay with him for the whole trip.
