Abnormal

A week, that was all it took me to know that this pregnancy was far from normal. The child inside me grew at a tremendus rate and was very strong. Almost everyone in the house wanted me to allow Carlisle to abort it but I wouldn't allow that. Rosalie was now my gaurd, she stood by my side and even helped to take care of me when it came to my bathing. My stomach was large and round, bruises were everywhere. The childs movements caused me pain which I did my best to shrug off and hide. Still at times I couldn't help but cry out in pain. The last movement broke my rib, luckily there were no splinters. No splinters were good, that meant no poseable threat, for now. I just wished Edward and Adam could see things the way I did. They both were very upset with my choice to keep the baby. Carlisle told me that I was expected to deliver within the week and he needed to be prepared. One of the things they did to prepare was buy tons of blood which I was drinking to sustain what health I had. The second was the obvious, harvesting Adam's venom. It was pretty clear I wouldn't be coming back as a human from this birth and I didn't mind. I had nothing in my human life that I truly wanted anymore. I loved my mother and father dearly but I was done with my human life. I was going to be selfish for once and do this for me. "We have a slight problem." Carlisle said as he entered the room. "None of us have hunted and if we are going to be at our best when the baby is born we need to hunt." "I'll stay back" Edward said. "Eve can stay too, both of us already hunted." "I'll stay too." Adam said. "You need to hunt Adam." Carlisle said. "Bella is going to need you." "I'll take care of her while you are gone Adam." Edward said. I watched everyone but Eve and Edward leave. Eve and Edward had gone hunting the previous day to spend some brother and sister quality time together. I felt happy for Edward that he got his sister and brother back. I mean living for over a hundred years thinking your family was dead is the most aweful thing ever. I could only imagine how my family would feel if they thought I was dead. I frowned almost instantly. The mourning that Edward went through was what I was going to be purposely putting my family through if I went on with becoming a vampire. I didn't want my family to hurt and now that its too late to do anything I had to hope for the best. Edward came over and sat beside me. "What's wrong?" he whispered. I shrugged my shoulders. "Nothing." I lied. "Just thinking about life." "What do you mean?" he asked me. I leaned into his chest and he wrapped his arms around me. "I was just thinking about the pain you went through when you thought your family had all died and how my parents would feel if they thought I was dead as well." "I'm pretty sure that we won't change you unless you absolutely needed it to survive." he told me. "Do you think I can do it?" I asked him in reply. He sat back and sighed. "I strongly believe in destiny and I think yours is with our family. After all that you have been through everything brings you back to us." "That's nice to hear." I sighed. A uncomfortable feeling was radiating in my lower back and I just felt like I had to stand up. "Edward" I moaned. "I need to stand up, my back." I said through gritted teeth. Very carefully Edward brought me to my feet, in the next second I was unsure as to what happened. All I remembered was hearing a crack and then falling backwards. Before I had hit the ground Edward caught me. "Eve!" Edward shouted. She was at our side in less then a second. I felt Edward lift me into his arms and then he rushed up the stairs to the place where Carlisle brought his work home. I was laid on a stretcher bed and then my clothes were being torn away from my body. Eve joined our side with a phone to her ear. "Carlisle says the placenta must've detached." she said quickly. The little bit I knew about the ways of pregancy gave me the knowledge to know that the placenta gave the baby oxygen. The baby couldn't breath. "Get him out!" I screamed. "He can't breath, get him out." Edward whispered sorry to me before he began cutting at my stomach. I was in so much pain it blew the 1-10 scale. I wanted to die but my family needed me. My baby needed me. At somepoint during the delivery Edward tossed aside the scalpel and began using his razor sharp teeth. For several seconds all I heard was the ripping and tearing of the placenta and then I heard a cry. "It's a girl." Edward said cheerfully. "Let me hold her." I sighed as I did my best to hold out my arms. Edward wrapped the baby in a blanket and then laid her across my chest. My breath was taken away when I saw how much she looked like me. My daughter looked atleast a few months old which was weird for her having been just born. What also struck me odd was her full set of milk teeth. After I got past her matureness for her age my eyes wandered to her hair. Her hair was a beautiful gentle brown that sat in a wet mess on top of her head. Her beautiful eyes were a gentle brown color that had specks of green and her skin was a beautiful pale porcelain color. This was my baby girl, this was my and Adams daughter. Our perfect angel. What would I name her? This little miracle came at just the right time. She was my miracle baby, she was my saving grace. That was it. "Gracie." I whispered. Suddenly I felt as if I was slipping away. Everything went numb and all was black around me. The only thing I could really register was the extremely faded sound of Edward calling my name. Very slowly I was falling away, I was dying. Then all at once it felt like I was dropped in a blazing fire. I was once again in pain. This pain was abnormal.
