The first week of being a vampire wasn't as hard as everyone had though it out to be. Though for my daughters protection she was taken away from the Cullen residence until they were certain that I wasn't a threat. From day one I proved myself to everyone that I was in control but Carlisle wanted atleast another 6 days.
Those 6 days passed by so slowly that I thought I may just loose my mind. With Adam though getting through that week was easy for me. Because of my good behavor my daughter was coming home. Just in time too because we were getting ready to move. For atleast 50 years myself, Adam and Gracie would be living on our own.
Alice and Jasper were on their way back from Seattle from picking up our new idenities and Rosalie and Emmett were on their way back from Alaska with my daughter. The three of them had been staying there since her birth. I was curious about where we were moving, would it be France, Japan, Austrailia? The Cullens had alot of real estate through out the world so we could be moving anywhere.
Adam walked through the door looking extra happy and it made me wonder what he was up to. With a small flick of his hand a box soared across the room to me and opened slowly revealing a pendant necklace. Ever so slowly he used his telekinesis to put the necklace on me before he joined my side.
"It's made from the enchanted lapis lazuli stone. Now you can walk in the daylight like me." he said as he made a few adjustments.
I looked in the nearby window at the pendant around my neck. The form of the stone reminded me of a sun except the center was the blue stone and the rays were a silver metal. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen.
I turned around to face Adam and smiled. "This is the most beautiful thing that anyone has ever given me." I said before I kissed him.
In the middle of our shared kiss I heard a car nearing the property. I waited curiously to see if it would pass or turn off. When I heard the sound of the tires moving off the pavement and onto the drive a smile crept slowly across my face. My daughter was here and I would get to hold her. Seconds later my smile faltered as I remembered that Sarah was gone.
A day after I had waken from my 'death bed' I called my father to keep up pretenses and he said that the only lead they had went cold. Sarah was gone and the chances of her ever being found were real slim. Where in the earth was my baby and where was Jake.
"Bella." I heard Rosalie speak cheerfully as she entered the front door.
My head snapped in her direction and in the same instant I moved across the room to stand before my daughter. She looked a few months older so that meant she was growing quicker then she was aging. Some how that worried me a bit but since she was half immortal I knew she would be alright. Her face was a bit more elongated then the first time I had saw her. Her eyes were still the same beautiful brown and her hair was a few inches longer and was styled in pig tails on the top of her head.
She immeadiately held out her arms towards me with a air of impatience and I took her. She was warm in my arms, he scent appealing like a sweet purfume. She was precious and she was mine.
"Did you decide on her full name?" Rosalie asked me.
So far the only name she had was her first name, Gracie.
"Grace Faliegh Masen" I smiled as I kissed her on the forehead.
Rosalie loved her name and Adam thought it was clever. Grace Faleigh sounded like gracefully.
Adam came over to my side and kissed Grace on her forehead. "She's Gracefully Masen." he chuckled.
Alice and Jasper came through the door and went straight into the next room. The two the came to join us in the living room with Esme and Carlisle behind them.
"So we have decided on Queensland Austrailia for your move. If you are up for it Rosalie and Emmett have agreed ahead of time to go with you." Carlisle finished.
"I'd actually like it if Edward and Eve accompanied us." Adam replied.
"Very well then. We will go along and buy the plane tickets." He said before him and Esme walked quickly from the room.
Adam took my free hand into his and held it tightly. "Tomorrow we are going to be Aussies." he said.
"Actually it's two days minimum to get there on a plane." I corrected him.
"It's all the same to me really. When you've been a vampire for as long as I have all the days roll into one." he defended.
I quickly kissed his lips. My cell phone rang and I took it from my pocket to see who it was. It was my father. I took a deep breath before I answered the call.
"Dad"
"Bella, your mother has been trying to contact you why aren't you answering your phone?" He asked me sternly.
The real reason I didn't answer my phone was because my mother would plead for me to come home. I couldn't come home and I know that hearing her crying would break my heart.
"I didn't know she called my phone was dead and I just bought a new charger." I lied.
"Well regardless she wants to know whether or not you are staying here in Forks or returning to Honolulu." He replied.
I took a deep breath to prepare for what I was going to say next. "Dad I'm done." I whispered.
"What do you mean done?" he asked me. "Where are you?"
I needed to make this lie a good one. I needed it end my past life. "I'm standing on a cliff in La Push." I lied. I had seen this cliff several times in my first year of me coming to Forks and knew alot of people died cliff diving.
"Bella, what are you doing?" he asked quickly.
"Dad, I'm done." I said simply. "I can't live in this life anymore, the most important being in my life is gone and I refuse to live with that pain. I love you and mom more than anything in the word but-"
"Bella, please don't do this." he begged.
I walked quietly outside and to the river. "I'm sorry dad, please don't hate me." I said before I threw my phone into the river.
Hopefully that would convince everyone that I was dead. Bella Marie Swan no longer existed in this life and would never exist again. I was positive that my father would send a search team to try and locate my body. I wanted them to find something that would convince them that I was there.
I quickly headed inside and handed the baby off to Rosalie before I went to the room that held my things. I needed something that they would recognize of mine. I dug through my suitcase and found the green bowling shirt that I got from when Charlie and I joined the bowling torunatment a few years back. I headed into Carlisle's office and shredded it before I soaked it with O positive blood. That was my bloodtype. I then raced outside and ran as fast as I could to that jumping point and tossed it into the ocean below. Maybe they will think a shark got ahold of my body or something.
Just as I thought I saw a small formation of police and divers coming along the road that led to the cliff. I did my best to scale up one of the large thick trees and sat there watching them.
I saw my father almost instantly and had to use all my strength to not reach out to him. He gave the go head for the divers to go in and then he just sat on a rock all by himself sobbing.
"Please Bella, be alive." He whispered to himself.
After an hour of sitting in the tree and watching my father I saw the divers coming up a small path off to the side. They held the shirt I planted before their arrival. When they handed it to Charlie he took one look at it and broke into tears.
"I think a shark must've gotten ahold of her sir. I'm sorry." The male diver said.
As quickly and quietly as I could I fled from my spot in the trees, jumping from branch to branch with ease. Once I was clear from my father I took off running back to the Cullens. The moment I entered the door I sank to the floor and practically turned into a stone statue.
"I'm sorry dad." I thought to myself as I imagined the pain he would go through. "I'm sorry."
