Past present and future

The mystery about my daughter kept my mind thinking contastantly during the entire flight. Only when we landed in Australia and were headed home did I really want to speak about my curiosity. Only when both my daughters where sleeping did I feel safe to voice my thoughts. "So both Sarah and Grace have identical genetics systems, they both age quickly." I said to no one imperticular. It was Edward that responded. "That caught my attention too. Since both girls have different fathers Sarah had to have caught the gene from you." He replied. That was true but the only way for her to have gotten a gene like that from me would be if I carried the gene myself. In order for me to carry the gene I'd have to be a hybrid or atleast one of my parents would have to be. "You don't think my mother or father are hybrids do you?" I asked curiously. Edward shook his head. "I wouldn't be able to tell you." "I might." Eve spoke up. Thats right, Eve could see my past. If she could see my past she could see the past of my parents as well. "Can you view my mothers background, I want to know about my birth." I replied. Something about my heritage struck me odd. I watched as Eve's eyes glazed over. I turned away and gave my attention to the quickly changing scenery. We were now venturing off road through the thickness of the jungle. We drove for about thirty minutes doing 115 miles per hour before we stopped outside a beautiful elegant glass house. I was in awe at the elegance it held. It was radiant and artistically deisgned, this was definitely Esme's doing, she was one of the most creative members in the Cullen family. I knew from Edward that all the houses they owned were designed and built by her. "Your grandmother was adopted." Eve suddenly said. "What do you mean?" I asked her. "Your grandmothers mom died giving birth to her because she was a hybrid." She explained further. "My mother carries the gene and so do I." I murmered to myself. I saw Eve nod her head in my periphrial vision. "So then why me? Why did the gene resurface in my daughter?" I asked her. "Beats me, I just know what the past tells me sis." Eve said before she got out of the car. I waited for Adam to get Gracie from my arms before I slid from the car with Sarah in my arms. I wasn't ready to let go of Sarah in anyway shape or form so I held her as much as possible. "We might need to do a bit of shopping to fix up the interior to suit our needs." Edward said as he opened the door. Before I could take a step forward Edwards phone rang. He answered it before the first ring could finish and held it to his ear. "Edward I just got done shopping for you, the delivery should come at 3pm your time at the cottage." I heard Alice say excitedly. "Bella is going to love the clothes I've bought for you all. Oh and I've been able to locate a couple Lapis Lazuli stones that I've had customized into rings so you will be able to enjoy getting out." She finished before she hung up. Leave it to Alice to get the last word in when its comes to conversation. I loved that. When she was done it was done. "So about that shopping-" Edward said with his crooked grin. "I think its fair to say we all heard the conversation." I chuckled as we all headed into the house. I headed into the living room and laid Sarah down on the couch. Just as Adam laid Grace down a thought crossed my mind. "Something still doesn't make sense. Why did it take longer for Sarah to start growing abnormally fast like Gracie?" Edward walked into the living and took a seat on a large chair. "Don't you see it, its Jake. He's a wolf and carries the wolf gene which totally contradicts the vampire hybrid gene. They two genes were probably confused with one another so it was basically a slight delay." I nodded my head and watched as Eve walked into the room and sat on her brothers lap. I smiled as I watched Edward holding his sister. "Thank you Bella." Edward said to me. "For bringing my family to me." "It was a beneficial coincidence really." I said blatently. Or was it? I rose to my feet and began pacing quickly. "I think I just had an epiphany." I said as I came to a still in the center of the room. "What is it?" Adam asked as he joined my side. "Everything, it wasn't a coincidence, it was fate. My mother falling in love with a man that traveled and her being unhappy without him which led me to Forks where I met Edward. Then the incident that ripped him from my life and brought Jake to me which resulted in a pregnancy which sent me to Jacksonville where I got a job that sent me to Honolulu where I met Adam who happened to be you brother. Everything links together as if it was meant to be. This is my fate, this is my destiny." When I finished I was breathing deeply. I was excited to finally put everything together and understand it all. Adam silently pulled me into his arms and we began kissing. When we pulled apart he was smiling at me. "So does your epiphany tell you whether or not it is part of your ultimate destiny to take my hand in holy matrimony?" He spoke to me. "Well you see an epiphany doesn't exactly work like that. You can't see the future in it but if you ask Alice I'm sure she would be able to tell you." I finished. I looked at Adams whos seemed to be amused and then it hit me, he had just propsed to me. He must've guessed that much because he got down on his knee and pulled a boy from his pocket. When he opened it I saw a ring, not a diamon ring but a Lapis Lazuli stoned ring. "Lexi Belle Masen-" He began with a chuckle. I thought it cute that he used my 'faux' identity name to begin the proposal. "I can't imagine spending eternity without you baring my name. I want you not only as the mother of our children but as my wife. I love our children and I love you, marry me." he finished. I looked around the room and saw that everyone was watching. Eve looked excited and was nodding her head but it was Edwards large grin that struck me deeply. He wanted me to be happy and his brother made me happy. "I will, marry you." I replied. Adam lifted me into his arms and spun me around before he set me on my feet. Everything was perfect. I had my two daughters with me, I had the love of my life, my soul mate and we were going to get married. My cheery mood faltered as quickly as it came. My father who would naturally be the one to walk me down the isle thought me dead. In his world I no longer existed, Bella Marie Swan was dead, she was no more. All my family and friends wouldn't be present at one of the most important days in a womans life. Some how I just wish that they could see me. I leaned into Adams chest and held him tightly. This was my life and I was going to have to get used to living it without my family and friends. I would make new friends and I already had a new family, I should be greatful. Yes, I should be greatful.
