Mated to Two Alphas (Part 2)

Hunter’s POV

When I decided to come to the celebration at the Blood Moon pack, I didn’t expect to find my mate. Being 23, I had come to the conclusion I didn’t have a mate. I stopped searching and honestly stopped caring about having a mate. I could make any worthy she-wolf back at home the Luna - all I really needed a Luna for was more power and so I didn’t have to deal with all of the emotions of my pack members. That’s before I saw her though. As we drove up to the Blood Moon pack house, Felix was going nuts. My wolf was normally as even tempered as I am, but something was up with him today. He wouldn’t tell me what had him so worked up, so I figured I’d take him for a run later.

When my beta, Dax, and I stepped into the backyard area, I smelled the sweetest scent - like honeydew and lilacs. Felix was raving Mate. Mate. She’s here! Could he be right? I instantly started scanning the crowd looking for my mate - that’s when I saw her. Long wavy auburn hair, olive skin and forest green eyes. Then I saw what she held in her hand, or more so WHO she held her hand with - Elijah.

Elijah and I attended alpha training together and we quickly became each other’s competition. Elijah was a good guy - don’t get me wrong - but I don’t like being challenged by anyone and he somehow made me have to actually work whenever we sparred. It pissed me off beyond words that he was a true challenger. Now as I’m standing in the back yard of his pack house, I see him holding hands with my mate. Before I know what to do or how to react, I’m standing in front of the pair. My mate is looking at me with a curious look and that’s when I notice it - she’s not marked! Ha! Elijah can’t deny me the mate bond - he has to hand her over!

Thats when I opened my big mouth and said the “m” word. Elijah came unglued - I was NOT expecting that. What is going on here? I don’t remember much after that, but Alpha Zeke and my mate, Ree he called her, said we needed to speak with the elders. All I do remember is when she spoke for the first time, the sound of her voice almost brought me to my knees. I knew in that moment I couldn’t let her go. Ever.

After we all met with Elder Jasper and I found out we were both mated to Reese, I was beyond confused - why would she be mated to two alphas? How is that even possible? Elder Jasper said she could accept us both, but how would that work - she would spend half her time at my pack and the other half here?? I couldn’t agree to that - she needed to be by my side always.

I hadn’t even gotten a chance to introduce myself to my own mate yet. I didn’t want to cause a scene at Elijah’s swearing in ceremony, but I had to be close to her. I had to talk to her.
