Chap.9*Sounds Like A SuperHero*

1168 Words
“Hil---,” before I could voice out for her again, I felt a zombie attacking me from behind. As I let out a scream and turned my face to him, I saw him opening his mouth wide open to my shoulder. I was so fear-stricken that I forgot to protest, but then it startled me when an arrow went through his head. The sharp arrow went right through his head and visible to my eyes from over my shoulder. I saw arrows going through the heads of the zombies, one by one dropping them dead on the road. I hurried towards Hila and helped her up, looking around to make sure there were no zombies left. Kai and Irene were standing with each other, all confused just like the rest of us. We had no idea what happened and who helped us. The silence after a storm in this situation was very bone-chilling as we had no idea if we were still in danger or not. Where everybody was silently scanning the surroundings, Ricky took a few steps ahead to peek through his right turn on the road and the way he gasped was a sign that he saw some shi* heading towards us. “There are more coming.” He announced in a shocking tone with his eyes turning watery due to the fear. More? We couldn’t even wipe clean a few, how are we supposed to fight off so many now without any proper weapons? We all stood motionless among the dead bodies while the grunting of more zombies intensified as they got closer and closer to us. “Up here!” suddenly a heavy, deep voice broke our concentration from the upcoming zombies and towards the owner of the voice. He was standing on the roof of one of the café, wearing black leather pants and a black, long, leather jacket with a long tail. At first, I thought he was a superhero from the way he was dressed as. “There is no time to examine me,” his voice made me realize that he was mentioning me, but thankfully he didn’t point at anyone. Kai was the first one to nod and take Irene towards the café, holding her up for the man to pull her along. I reached after them, standing in the line and waiting for my time while the zombies had started to appear in our sight. “Hurry up!” Ricky, who had also climbed the café, helped Hila to join him, and soon it was only I left behind. I stretched my hand up for this stranger to drag me up, the moment his strong hand has griped around my hand, I felt a current pass through my whole existence. He wasn’t only very strong and huge, but there was something about his touch that was very different. It took me time to break free from the trance and push myself up but only to be hindered from going up. “Ugh!” I groaned when I felt pressure pulling me down, the panic in other’s screams was an indication that something had happened. I lowered my face and saw a bunch of zombies holding onto my feet and reaching their teeth to my skin. My heart had started to ring in my head after I began to yell loudly, pulling my legs up. “Don’t look down and focus on getting up.” The guy grunted, tightly holding my arm and asking me for my other hand. “Vivi! Just stop looking down,” Kai was hanging down beside the guy, worrying for my safety. Now that I was hanging down with this guy’s hand, I could look at his face from up close but it was too hard to appreciate how good-looking he was when some ugly as* zombies were hanging down my feet. I raised my other hand to his demand, but instead of holding his hand, I pulled the sword from his back where other weapons were resting too, and in a quick move, I swung the sword down and smashed the zombies’ head into two. The guy dragged me up once I have let Irene and Hila scream in terror at my action. I climbed on top of the roof with his support, breathing profusely to calm my nerves down. “Was that even necessary?” I knew Irene would have something to add to it, “that was so uncalled for,” she continued to speak bitterly. I finally straightened my back and stared at everyone watching me. “That was so dope,” Irene’s brother spoke while clapping his hands in excitement, “The way you swing that thing was so--,” he was talking when his sister interrupted very rudely. “Very unnecessary!” she repeated herself but a voice from behind us made us look around at the person who had saved us. “Impressive is the correct term,” He had a very powerful voice. I wasn’t wrong when I said he looked like a superhero, his long black coat and hero hair were what stole my attention. He was a very tall dude, probably 6 feet 3 inches tall with a massive built, broad shoulders, and slim waist. His facial features were truly distracting, I have only seen such handsome saviors in the movies but this man was real and very hot. Getting a compliment from him made me lower my face and bit my lower lip nervously. “Are you okay?” Kai suddenly broke free my focus from the man in front of me. I gave him a nod to convince him that I was fine and together we all looked at the man to introduce himself. “I am Ravyn Raddix, I don’t know if it’s nice to meet you all since more people mean, more trouble in today’s world.” His way of talking was so mesmerizing that neither of the boys could respond to him as well, “Do you guys have a name?” he asked when nobody said anything but kept staring at him. “I am Vivienne,” I mean, somebody has to break the silence and since I was the most outgoing one among them, I decided to take my crown from Ricky and Caz. “I am Caz and he is Ricky,” Caz came forward, quickly gaining his senses back. “I am Kai Pascal!” Kai added, taking the chance. “I am Irene and he is my little brother Leo,” “I am Hila,” Hila was the last one to introduce herself. We had no idea who this handsome, beast-looking guy was but he saved our life, and the way he was prepared with so many weapons on him, I guessed he knew how to survive this apocalypse.
