KADE’S POV
We came back to find Drew standing a few meters away from the parking lot. His face was etched with worry and I knew it was because of her. I felt a pang in my chest at the thought but brushed it away.
The moment she made it out of the car, he came rushing to her like I wasn’t there.
“Zaya, are you okay? Can you walk?” He questioned and I rolled my eyes at him.
“I’m fine thank you” she answered in such a calm voice, almost like she was too afraid to answer.
I didn’t get a thank you and I saved your life.
He wasn’t the one who had her in his arms nor was he the one who had to stay by her side till she woke. Yet he was the one she was thanking.
I frowned, finding it ridiculous that I was thinking this way, and decided to excuse myself from the scene.
