KADE'S POV
“It’s good to have you back, Alpha.” Doctor Green said, glancing over the patient chart he was holding the moment I became conscious. “How do you feel?”
I felt like sh*t, but he didn’t need to know that. My eyes searched the room, looking for someone I knew wouldn’t be here but I searched anyway.
She’s not here.
“Where’s Zaya?” I had to ask, knowing Jade was there a few seconds before I passed out. “Is she safe?” I didn’t even care that I was in the hospital.
“If that b**ch touches mate, I’ll shred her to bits.” Jax warned in a tone that had me alert, giving me a headache in the process. Did he not remember that I had literally just opened my eyes?
“She’s outside.” A part of me was relieved that she was at least in the hospital, especially seeing the look on his face.
