Chapter Five

Labyrinth P.O.V

For the first time in my life, I was scared of talking to a woman. I know my s*x life isn't the most exciting , but one thing I know for sure is that Labyrinth Armani isn't a coward when it comes to wooing anyone he's attracted to.

I have never been so nervous in my entire life. I didn't want to mess things up.I wanted more from her.

I didn't want our interaction to end with a mere kiss which those Demonic Pair dared me to do. How do I go about it? What do I do? Should I ask Jayda for advice? Nah she's gonna laugh at me, I've already embarrassed myself enough.

As I decided to make a move, I noticed Jayden whispering something to Jayda and I knew it was about me, so I went to ask them.

“Jayden, how embarrassing do I look that I’ve become a topic between you and Jayda?”

“Are you trying to make us forget about the dare?” Jayda asked, sarcastically.

'No, I'm not trying to do that. I just want to make sure I don't mess things up with her by going along with this stupid dare of yours.”

“Sooooo indirectly you are trying to say that we are actually correct with you been a fun-LESS individual?” Jayden said hoping that I was going to lose the dare.

I couldn't allow them win this one. I’ve never lost a game to those two, and tonight won't be the first.

“Well, here goes nothing. Watch me sweep that beauty completely off her feet” I said with a sly smirk and left. As I gradually took my steps towards her, I could see that she was here with a man and I wondered for a moment who that guy was to her.

Could he be her husband? Boyfriend? Maybe her body guard? I mean, Cosmos is a club for the Elites, so he was probably just her bodyguard, right? I kept walking towards her, but when I got closer to where she stood, I got stuck. I didn't know how to approach her so I decided to do the one thing that came to my mind, tap her shoulder and tell her why I came to her.

“Hello bellissima, do you mind me asking you for a favor?” I asked after tapping her shoulder. She turned around and gave the sexiest, most powerful glare I've ever seen.

“I didn’t give you the permission to speak to me” She glared

“I'm sorry. It was wrong of me to speak to the most enthralling human in this club without asking for her permission," I tried to charm her. "I mean no harm. I come in peace," I added with my hands slightly raised to assure her that she is in safe hands.

She looked at me with her alluring eyes and smiled “Well, you already got my attention so on with it.”

“So my friends over there dared me to kiss you and I wouldn't do that without asking for permission first. One of the important things my papa thought me was to treat a lady the same way I would want my mama to be treated. It's ok if you don't want to do it. I won't pry or get offended by it. I would take it as my first loss to those two in all of my 25yrs on earth. I mean, sometimes you lose, sometimes you win,” I said this, but deep down I wanted her to say yes to me.

So, what's the catch if you win this?” She said as she gave me a sly smile and I knew it was the perfect time to activate my Labyrinth charm.

“well, the catch is asking you out on a date and hoping to know you better.”

“The only reason I’m agreeing to this stupid dare of yours is because you were honest from the get go. And damn, that sexy accent of yours.”

On hearing her response, I knew I had a 60 percent chance in making her my woman. As we drew closer for a kiss, I saw Jayda running towards me in anguish, her mood was off and she looked very upset. It's a no brainer that whenever Jayda or any of us gets angry, it means someone is going to get killed.

“Lab,” she called, you could hear the anger in her voice

“What’s going on?” I asked

“Some good for nothing riffraffs are trying to pick a fight with us, Jayden is out there trying to handle it but I think you need to be there yourself and show them who the new boss is around here.”

I rushed out with Jayda, and in that very minute, all that mattered was to know who had the audacity to challenge me nothing else mattered. As we got outside I could see how heated the scene was and I did the first thing that came to my mind, which was to fire my gun In the air and aim at the first person I set my eyes on.

Third person P.O.V

Labyrinth pointed his gun at Rollin without knowing who he was and swore to shoot him if he moved. Rollin who thought he was bluffing tried to make a move and Labyrinth shot straight at his ears leaving a little scrape.

"Bang! The next bullet that comes out of this gun would split your brain into two,” Labyrinth warned.

“Trust me, the first shot wasn't a mistake but a warning. he wouldn't miss the next one, he is gonna shoot right through that mouth of yours,” Jayden said to Rollin.

Rollin was left speechless, and he realized that everything he heard about Labyrinth was nothing but the truth but he still decided to play It off as if he wasn't impressed by his response.

“You come into our territory and try to take what's ours and you thought we wouldn't retaliate? You are not as smart as I thought you were Labryinth Armani,” Rollin finally spoke.

“I see you have made some research about me, and with your findings, you should know that i'm not one to cross paths with. So before this becomes a blood bath, take your self and those clowns you call your men behind you and leave this premises. I'm giving you 15 seconds or…”

“And if we don't, what the hell are you going to do?” Rollin interrupted Labyrinth.

“Well not me,” Labyrinth replied. “Her,” He pointed above

Rollin looked up to see who Labyrinth was referring and to his surprise he saw Jayda at the roof top with a Sniper Rifle waiting for Labyrinth to give his orders. Rollin knew they had lost this fight and decided to leave with his men. While all this was happening, Oliver was at a corner, quietly observing.

Watching how Labyrinth made a fool of Rollin, Oliver couldn't help but be impressed by his way of handling issues and how well his men and the Demonic Pair trusted him, even without giving out an order they already knew what to do, now that's a true leader and a worthy opponent to compete with, but at the same time Oliver was pissed that he made a fool of Rollin and his men and Oliver couldn't wait to see Rollin and give him an earful of how stupid he looked in front of Labyrinth.

Oliver pick up the phone and made a call to Lucas instructing him to tell Rollin to meet at home before Oliver could end the call Lucas reminded Oliver of something Oliver didn't want to talk or even think about.

"Oliver it is that time of the month again which means you have to meet up with your dad, I've already made preparations for the trip, the jet is on standby," Lucas said to Oliver from the way he sounded you would know he was about to scold Oliver.

"Lucas can't I skip this trip? Like cook up an excuse for me. I mean that's one of the reason you are my personal assistant, get me out of this suicide mission.You know I won't be able to meet Father's expectation and I know this too, and this would really hurt him," Oliver said to Lucas hoping he would fall for it and come up to an excuse, but to Oliver’s surprise he blatantly turned it down. So now Oliver is left to either meet to Benjamin's expectations or be humiliated again in front of the whole family again.
