Chapter 17

533 Words
Lily PoV "James?" I asked. I didn't expect him to be here and with Drake. They seem to be fighting, I saw Drake grabbed his shirt for sure. "Lily, we need to talk," James said. What do we need to talk about this time? I left the house so they can have it all they want. "I'm sorry James but can we talk tomorrow when I get home?" but deep inside I can make time to talk to him but I promised myself to stay away from him. "It will not take so much of your time. I need to tell you something, please?" James said with those pleading eyes. "James, Lily said, 'tomorrow when she gets home.' " Drake interrupted. I almost forgot that Drake is around, James' presence is doing that. "Come on, let's get going." Drake talked again trying to help me out, I was glad but I find it annoying at the same time. Foolish self. "Where is your overnight?" James asked before we can leave him. "Why?" It was Drake who voices out my thought. "I'll drive you and we can talk on the way." He said looking at me. Is it really important that he needs to do this? Drake has obviously pissed with James already. "Lily, why won't you talk with James?" It was Mira who can't help herself to be just an audience. "You don't really need to come over to help our project as you were long done." She continued, it's too late to stop her. "Come on Drake, why can't you smell what's going on between the two?" Mira said with a wink as she dragged a hesitant Drake away from us. I stay rooted on my feet and kept on repeating Mira's last words. Is it that obvious? "Liliane," James said my full name for the first time in ten years. I was confused on how he looks at me now. He is smiling like something good is about to happen. "I need to tell you something about Natasha." Oh, goodness! I already told myself about it. "James, you don't have to," I said and wanted to go home and locked myself in my room already. "Natasha is my cousin." He said. "What?" Did I hear him right or he was pranking me? "She is my cousin and I'm sorry for our little play." He continued and I was even more confused. "Play?" I asked and I got it in the process. James and Natasha were in an act to play with me and my feelings? I should have felt slight happiness knowing the truth but telling me about their little play overtook it. I am mad. "How could you?" I asked in disbelief. Those acts were the things I really hate the most, they are relatives to lying and betrayal. "Lily, I like you." Another surprise but I just hate it the moment I hear those words from James. "I think, you have gone too far with your play, James." My words before I left him. I don't think he is still the innocent James back when we were little, someone who loves to play but not with someone else's feelings.
