Lily PoV
I decided to ask James myself about what Drake could possibly tell him, there must be a misunderstanding somewhere.
I was happy seeing him in the kitchen cooking. I was building myself as I slowly walk towards the kitchen.
James then talks sensing I'm already home.
"How did you get in? Why do you follow me here?" But his question confused me.
Of course, I can get in but I'm not sure why did I follow him.
"James," I said as he faces me and there's a woman who just arrived at the door.
A bubbly woman, who directly check the food he was cooking.
"Wow! Is that food?" She asked.
"Oh, James. These foods are my favorites!" She exclaimed.
"Oh, hi! You must be Lily!" Then to me. I was surprised at how she knew me as this is my first time seeing her.
"Hello," I replied unsurely.
"Girl, I know a lot about you!" Natasha said which surprised me again.
What could she know about me?
"Natasha, why don't we settle your things first?" James then spoke.
Natasha is her name then.
"Lily, can you finish those, please?" He asked.
"Wait! How about my food?" Natasha complained.
"Later." And James drags her, to his room as I secretly looked where they're heading.
Is he that eager to have her that he didn't even introduce me first to Natasha?
I then prepared the food on the table. I don't like to be here when they are back from their business. She is clearly special to James, might be his girlfriend.
The thought really pinched my heart, I can feel it.
I just finished when Natasha shows up.
"Thanks, Lily for the effort!" Natasha said happily.
She seems nice but I don't think I can welcome her warmly. I don't have visitors often that I'd be happy to have one but not now.
"By the way, I would like to formally introduce myself to you. I'm Natasha Blake, James' friend and..." She said and the last words she whispered like a bucket of ice pouring on my head.
"I'm here to pursue him."
How would I suppose to react? I then gave her my half-smile.
"James, why don't we have our early dinner? And Lily, you can join us too." Natasha invited that I will decline without a second thought.
"Thank you for the invite but there's something I really need to do in my room," I said.
"That's too bad. James cooked all of this and I can't have them all, even if I looove them!" Natasha said emphasizing the 'love' word.
"Natasha, just let her. We can leave some for Lily." James said but it seems to me that he really doesn't want me around.
"Yeah." I replied, "And if you don't mind, I leave the two of you now."
I left without looking back or else those tears will really fall, for them to see.
The instant pain I feel at the moment was intense and cutting.
I was waiting for their laughter but they were silent and it keeps me wondering if they are still in the kitchen or somewhere private. God the thought makes me crazy!
I need confirmation. I need a glass of water from the kitchen not from the pitcher on my bedside table.
So, I get out of my room.
"Let me stay in your room, okay?" Natasha said.
Who said I need confirmation? Knowing that she will sleep in his room is adding my torture.
I went back to my room and gulped the remaining water in the pitcher. At least, they are still in the kitchen. Later it is my problem.
I was staring at my notes when an idea hits me that I should do now. I will make sure to offer the other room available.
With that thought, I jumped off of my bed to clean the farthest room from James' room.
