Immortal 04

Scarlet’s PoV

The next day I was released from the hospital because I was okay, and since I got out of the hospital, Caex didn't feel like I didn't know what had happened. I was still wondering if he was mortal or not.

"Are you sure there's nothing weird about that Caex you're telling me right now?" Jona asked me, and I immediately nodded. We are here in the cafeteria where she worked because my shift was shifted at night so that Caex will always fetch me home. Mom and dad agreed to that.

"I'm not mistaken, Jona. I saw in my eyes when he crashed. He didn't even feel the pain in his body. I can even see that his arm was bleeding!" I said, and I bit my straw in my drink.

"Well! Of course, if there is a mortal in our world, there is also an immortal, aren't you reading that?" she asked me, and I nodded. I was only reading one book about the immortal and mortal.

"Do you believe in that?" she asked me, and I stopped biting my straw, and I looked away, and Anthony arrived just in time to pick up Jona.

"There's your baby," I said to her, and she looked at the door and greeted it with a hug and at the same time, and Anthony came here to join our conversation. When he sat down, he looked outside.

I also looked outside, but what I saw there was Caex? What is he doing here? Why is he here? I looked at Anthony, who was still staring at Caex, and he didn't take his eyes off Caex. What was Anthony's problem with Caex? Did he know him?

"Are you all right, Anthony?" When I asked him, he looked at me and immediately nodded. Caex was still standing in front of the cafeteria. He was waiting for someone.

"Why are you looking at Caex?" I asked him and Jona's eyes widened, and she looked behind him, and Jona saw Caex leaning against the car. It seems like he was waiting for me, but why did he come here, and how did he know I was here?

"Oh my god! Caex is here. What is he doing there?" At the same time, Jona asked and sipped the soft drinks that she been drinking before I even consumed mine. I just bowed down because I feel weird, but why do I feel this way?

"I know him," I heard Anthony say, and Jona was stunned by him, and I became curious about what he would say next. Does he know Caex? When else, and why did he say that now? I already told him that I know Caex.

"You know him? So you two have already talked?" Jona asked, and he nodded immediately but what I wondered was that Anthony's hands were shaking. I don't know why he is scared?

"I already see that face in my childhood days! It's the same face!" he told us, so my eyes widened, and I could not believe what he said. What does he say he saw Caex in his childhood days? I'm confused.

"What are you talking about, Anthony? He's been here for ten years only. He was in America for days when we didn't know him," I told him, and he stared at me. His hands were shaking.

"Trust me, Scarlet, I saw that face he saved me when I was still a kid," he told me, so I can't believe what he was saying now, I was stunned at the exit, and I saw that Caex was no longer there. Where did he go? When did he suddenly disappear?

"I trust you, of course, but that thing you are talking about is impossible to happen," I told him, and he immediately stood up and looked behind my back, and he sat down, suddenly because I saw Caex entering here. I was shocked and panicked a bit too. 

"Are you done chatting to each other?" Caex ask. Jona and Anthony were stunned by him, and Caex was stunned by Anthony, and he touched his head, so I wondered even more why he did that.

"You have grown up, kid! See you later! I need to talk to one of your friends," he said, and Caex immediately grabbed me and pulled me. He pulled me out of the cafe. I couldn't stop myself, and I immediately removed his hand from mine.

"What kid? Do you know him?" I asked him, and he looked away. So it's true he's not a mortal? If he is not mortal, what is he?

"Are you a monster?" I asked him, and he looked at me. I saw his face blushing and grab me again to enter the car, and he did the seatbelt for me.

The car was quiet, and while he was driving, I looked at him, and finally, I looked at him until we got to where we were going. I didn't know where he would take me to where we were going.

I looked at where we were. We were in an old mansion that was not Caex's mansion.

"Do you want to know your past life?" he asked me. That's why I frowned. Do I seem interested in what he has to say? So I crossed my arms and walked out. 

"I'm not interested. I won't—"I was shocked when there is no voice came into my mouth.

"Come! Touch this padlock," he said to me, so I didn't do anything, and I went there, and I was stunned by the old mansion that has a fountain that looks okay, but it's broken because of the time.

I breathe before I want to know if I lived in the past, But what I will know now is my past life I'm not sure if I remember it all; I was stunned by Caex and waiting for it.

So I touched the padlock, and a memory flash begins in my head.

Flashback

I touched the figure that dad's co-worker made to show that I was a princess in this kingdom. Dad's servants considered other helpers and me. He was called King Felipe.

I used to be a princess. My mother named me Scarlet Diane, and it was a lovely name. When I was playing in our garden, I noticed a man in my figure, and he was touching it without my permission, so I called him right away.

"Hey! What are you doing to my figure!?" I asked him, and he stared at me, and his eyes widened, and he immediately left at the same time I chased after his presence, but it disappeared immediately.

What is he doing? I heard a rustle in the tree and went behind it to see how he had a wound on his arm from his skin, but he didn't scream.

"Are you all right?" I asked him, and he moved closer to me and smiled at me, so I moved him when he came down from the tree and knelt in front of me. I was a child at the time, and I don't recall anything from my childhood.

"Are you sure you're not going to pick up that apple?" I said to Caex, lying next to me and holding a book about the immortal and mortal he always reads. I was curious to see if the story was worth reading.

"Later! You're still not hungry, right?" he asked me, and I nodded. He's right. I'm not hungry yet, so maybe later, I closed my eyes to sleep because I knew he was next to me.

When I opened my eyes and saw that the back of Caex was full of blood, there was a sharp object buried in his back. I touched my face and was also full of blood.

"What happened to you, Caex!" I shouted and panicked. 

"Scarlet! Get out of here! Your father is in danger, "He told me. That's why I was startled to see so many people wielding swords and half of our house on fire. I'm not sure where my parents are. Caex is everything I know here. Please, save me.

"I won't leave you, Caex! We will escape here together, and we will look for mom and dad!" I shouted, and someone kick Caex rolled his body on the floor. The men saw me holding sharp objects, so I closed my eyes, and I immediately felt that Caex was hugging me.

The blood is dripping again but what amazes me is that Caex doesn't take care of the wounds that pierce his body. It doesn't matter to him. I just found out that he said he was immortal.

"I'm sorry, Scarlet, if I didn't tell you that I'm an immortal," he said to me, so my eyes widened. I don't know anything about immortals, and why did he tell me this? Does this mean he is immortal?

I immediately ran to the outside, and I went to the lawns. I just kept running wherever I could go. 

As I was running, I could hear someone following me because I was stunned behind me and my eyes widened as many men chased me, so I cried.

"Caex!" I cried and groaned as I called his name. Caex appeared on me and lifted me with his hand. He was running. I could see his wounds, and he ignores his wounds.

"I will save you, Caex, no matter what happens," I said to him.

"Stay here," Caex said as he lowered himself and blocked in front of me to save me. And I was taken aback by the men chasing us, carrying sharp objects from which I had no idea where they did come.

"Give the man behind you! If you don't, we kill you two!" 

"Kill them both!" the other man said.

My eyes widened as I focused on all the sharp objects in the habit, so when they threw them, I immediately blocked them in front of Caex. I don't want to lose the person who took care of me from my childhood until I was 20 years old. I will not let him disappear from my life.

I was stunned by Caex that his eyes widened, and it looked like he had something to do, but he didn't do it. I could feel the last thing in my body, and Caex caught it immediately.

"Scarlet!" Caex shouted, and I was still touching his cheek for the last time. If I could live somewhere else, I hope to see you again. I hope I can hold your hand again.

"No!" I only heard Caex shout, and I completely lost consciousness.

End of Flashback

I opened my eyes and saw the broken pendant here on the bed. This pendant is black, and I got up and saw Caex standing in front of the window, so I got up.

"Caex," I called him softly, and I looked at his hand, which was more extensive than mine. I held it and pressed it to see if he is immortal, but he didn't feel any pain, so I stared at him. 

"You're my caex!" I said, and I immediately hugged him, and he also cried with me. I remember my past life, and in my past life in the village, I also saw Caex, and I also met him. Not only Anthony was the first to meet him but me as well.

"But why can't I be saved by the days I defended you?" I asked him, and he was very relieved when he hugged me. And he looked me in the eyes, and I felt my tears dripping.

"I attempted to save you. I tried to stop the clock, but I couldn't because it was fated to happen to you, and you died that night. "So I began to cry as he told me, and I felt the strong wind and the heat of his body.

I also remember that I will see him again when I live somewhere else, and I will be with him again. I will hold his hand warm again. I want to save scarlet when we are together those days.

"Let's not worry about that, Caex. It's important that the two of us are together again," I told him, and he smiled, and I hugged him again, Caex is not only a stranger to me, but he is a particular person in my life.

Anthony's PoV

"Are you okay?" Jona asks, and I nodded because after we left the cafeteria, I still thought that the man who saved me was still here until now, and he admitted that he knew me.

"I wonder why Scarlet is always with that man?" Jona and I were stunned by it, and I smiled and laughed softly. Truly my girlfriend loves gossip topics.

"You're into gossip a lot. You know that?!" I pinched her nose and held her there. She turned on me, so I laughed there, and I just kissed her on the forehead, and she stopped blabbering.

Flashback

"Mom! I'll just play outside!" I yelled at mom and immediately when I took my small car and left it on the road. I turned it on using the remote controller my uncle gave me as a gift for my birthday.

While I was running it, it went to the crossing, but it didn't want to move when I slipped it, so I got closer to move it. But it still didn't want to, So I took it and looked at the battery inside, and I heard the horn of a car. It was deafening.

I was at the side, and it was approaching me, so I just closed my eyes and felt someone lift me. I landed on a block of cold cement, and I closed my eyes, and the man who saved me was handsome and tall.

"Thank you! It's all your now, mister!" I told him.

"Child, take care next time because it's dangerous on the road. I need to go now," he told me when he got the candy I gave him, and I just stared at him, and he disappeared from my side, so I was surprised. Why did he suddenly disappear?

End of flashback

I'm right in my suspicion that his name is also Caex Feax because I've been curious about that man since I met him and talked to him. He was also my teacher then, and I spoke to him as well.

Why is he here now? Couldn't he have lived a long time? It's impossible for that to happen because it's been a long time, and I'm still young, but why is he like that? He is so close to Scarlet.

It's as if he knows her well and they've known each other for a long time. From the looks he had before, I could see that he liked Scarlet, so he immediately asked her to come out so that two only could talk.

"Hey! Your mind is floating again." Jonah touched me, and I just smiled at her. If that's his father? Should they both look alike? But it is also impossible because he mentioned that when he was teaching, he was single.

He also doesn't have a child. How did this happen? Are there still monsters living in this world? And Scarlet doesn't know that? She reads immortal and mortal books and but then she doesn't know that?

"Jona? What if Caex lived about a million years? I swear I knew him when I was a kid!" I told her, and her eyes just widened because she couldn't believe it, so I got out of the car and went to the mall.

"You're not really okay, Anthony! Let's go home!" she said to me, and she pulled my hand back to the car, and she immediately let go of my hand, and she looked at me for a long time.

"I'm just as curious as to your friend. Isn't it strange that his partner looks like a monster?" I told her, and her eyes widened at the same time she looked away and thought.

"You have a point, so let's follow them tomorrow?" she asked me.

"Sure, but you will provide wig and dress?" I told her, and she nodded, so I smiled and thought, why do I say Caex is a monster? Is this part of my life?

But what if Caex is a monster?
