Rowland. As I sat in the backseat of the car, my mind swirled with a tornado of thoughts, crippling my insides, as I struggled to maintain composure. It felt just like a dream, only that this was the kind you would neither expect nor anticipate. After I got the text from my assistant, I stared at the phone for what seemed like an eternity, hoping I would get a follow up text that indicated the first one had been a mistake. I held on to the phone until my knuckles turned white, but there was no follow up text. All I got was the despair that was blooming inside of me, like a lotus planted by the River side.
