It was the umpteenth time I was going to be late for work since Rebecca took over as the boss, but rather than easing my struggle, Cathrine has been nagging me about the unexpected call with Rebecca that has put my emotions in a frenzy once more.
Since then, Rebecca’s voice had been stuck in my head. Despite her strong attempt to act nonchalant, it was obvious she cared about Clara. Her emotions emanated from her tone as she spoke.
Knowing that she still loved Clara after all these years, despite the resentment she felt for me, filled me with so much joy and yes, hope.
