I felt so f*****g useless. I should never have run off, but I was scared to shift inside the cave, scared to shift and give ourselves away to the…the…witches. How in the world were there witches? My mother was supposed to be the last witch, and the fact that those people talked about Rhett meant these were indeed the group of people who used to be fairies. How did they come across magic, and why was that younger guy stronger than the others? I felt the pain in my side throbbing, but it wasn’t as painful as my wing.
