Guardian's Might

In the middle of the forest, there was a man sheathed in golden armor looking down on disgusting creatures. They exude a foul smell that can be smelled from above, Jon could only endure the smells of disgusting filth as though he was trying not to breathe.

The impaled General Shuna removed the spear from her body and started cloaking herself in darkness.

Jon furrowed his brows, he saw that the wounds that he inflicted against them are healing by some kind of disgusting black ooze.

Her face contorted as she was smiling wickedly.

“Ahahahaha...to think that there is someone who can go against us...I shall have your head as your trophy.” Shuna said to the golden knight as if she was declaring her intent to kill him.

“You rabid dogs, you can talk highly of yourself after being impaled by my simple skill? To tell you the truth, I can kill both of you in one hit. You’re just a weak-ass mass of filth in my eyes.” Jon mockingly said, curling up his lips at the received haughty statement.

Meanwhile, Alciel throws the sword that manages to wound him, producing a thud. He looked at the responsible with murderous intent, grabbing the sword-ax sheathed on his back.

“Then before we fight, let us exchange names. I’m one of the Great Generals in the Demon Kingdom, Shuna. And this besides me is also one of the Great Generals: Alciel.”

At Shuna's introduction, the Golden Knight’s crimson eyes grew even more of a proud anger as he glared at the two filthy demons under him.

“Are you ordering me, you rapid dogs? How dare you do that to your God?”

Frankly speaking, Shuna’s introduction is reasonable, but apparently, The Golden Knight took it as an incorrigible disrespect from his point of view. This wasn’t a matter of concealing one’s true name, but rather from a personal irritability, One of the Supreme Gods of AEON; one of the Battle Gods. When did the mob ask for identity from the Gods? And so, the Golden Knight was emitting a very clear murderous intent.

“You have the honor to lay your eyes on me, but you still don’t know who I am. Then you’re not qualified to live any longer!”

At Golden Knight's conclusion, the space around him distorted in a haze— the next instant, the glow of beautiful blades started coming out of the empty space. He is using again his [ Divine Treasury ] skills but to a different degree.

There are bare blades as well as spears. Each of them is decorated with eye-catching ornaments and emits a fierce magical power.

Without a doubt, this is the same thing that killed the Sword Saint one-sidedly.

“God huh? If you declared yourself as God, then you are also not qualified to live any longer!”

A murderous intent was now overflowing in Shuna, it’s obvious that it was directed to the hubris Golden Knight, her cloak fluttering violently.

“Wounding the Great Demon Generals and declaring yourself as a God? You just signed your certificate of death! Alciel, I’ll allow you to rampage now, kill him but slowly.” Shuna said to her fellow general.

“Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!”

A scream that shakes the earth. The giant screams as if going insane—and it's every ability increases as it deforms and swells.

“It can’t be!... That demon is...strong…”

It’s only natural for the two sisters to shudder. After all, Christine used her true sights that have true clairvoyance and saw the Demon’s status.

That tremendous stats is making her body tremble. There will be no one stupid enough to fight it yet there is someone! A Golden Knight who declared himself as a God. Without a doubt, he is also strong! To be able to kill the Sword Saint at ease there’s no mistaking it. However, he is fighting two monstrous demons. Not to mention, he angered it.

But...How come that the Golden Knight is not trembling in fear? After that monstrous scream, there should be a reaction. But there is not. She glanced at the Golden Knight and used her true sight. This time, her eyes opened widely more…

“There’s no...data?”

What she just saw in her eyes was nothing. As though the clairvoyance skill is not effective against him.

She hugged her sister tightly as there will be a new battle that’ll take place in the forest. The combatants are not them but a Golden Knight. A knight that saves her from humiliation and death, she mouthed a prayer, cheering him up in her mind.

Please win…

“Go kill anything that nears you, Alciel.”

“Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhh”

It’s an explosive roar, it roars out, not even howl now, and the demon jumps in. However, the jump was not directed at the Golden Knight but at the two helpless princesses.

The two princesses hugged each other as if this was their last day. And in an instant… the giant demon that leaped towards them was instantly thrown out in the clearing from the deafening explosion.

“Urrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh”

The anguish is the demon giants. His body made of steel can nullify almost any attack. But from another attack yet again by Golden Knight impaled his body with three swords and two spears.

The demon giant struck his head upwards and saw a golden brilliance on top of a cross-shaped relic.

“How dare you ignore me? You rabid dog? I’m your enemy and yet...your attention is not me?? I’ll bestow you death punishment for your disrespecting behavior!”

Now that the giant knew who attacked him, he let out another deafening roar that shakes the earth, his attention now is Golden Knight.

Ignoring the injury, the demon giant leaped with all of his might, achieving a speed that can’t be grasped by a normal human, and then reappeared above the Golden Knight.

The demon giant howls. An attack powerful enough to destroy a mountain swings through empty space, smashing down into the ground.

Instead of being dumbstruck at the speed of the demon. The Golden Knight only curled up his lips in satisfaction.

“A mere dog like you, is that supposed to be intimidating?”

The Golden Knight lazily raised his hands and welcomed the attack. A swing so powerful as if it was a falling meteor was about to hit the Golden knight.

The battle-ax met his target, causing a deafening explosion from impact, trembling the earth, and dust that flew from the ground concealed the two cross-shaped relics and the two figures.

Shuna who was watching the scene scoffed.

“It’s just a bluff huh?”

Confident that an attack from Alciel finished him off, she turned her attention to the princesses.

“Now, where were we…” She let out a wicked smile, raising her right hand and flaunting her long sharp nails to the princesses.

Moving closer at the princesses, she heard a voice that was supposed to be dead.

“Do you really think that you can defeat me from such a weak attack?”

“Im-impossible…”

She struck her head upwards and saw the golden knight, for the first time, she shivered in fear.

What she just saw is a figure of a Golden Knight catching the sword-ax that was supposed to slice him in half...no that sword should’ve cut his arms for catching it but yet, it remains fine as if he was catching a falling leaf.

The Demon Giant widened his eyes...not wanting to believe what just happens.

“Arrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”

He let out a deafening roar as his muscles from his arms bulged, even more, increasing the size. And then the giant gripped the hilt so tightly and pushed it so hard to at least slice the golden knight’s arm.

“Stop your futile actions...you rabid dog. You also have no right to be at the same level as me. A rabid dog shall only stand in the ground and die in the ground.”

A golden light shone brightly at the Golden Knight’s hands, converging massive energy in one point…

“You bore me dog...as expected...a dog really does not have a fighting chance against God...let’s end this charade…[ Divine Ray of Punishment ]

With his declaration, a golden radiance that sprouts in his hands, shines intensely, and bursts into blinding golden light.

A thunderous roar completely overtook his sense of hearing. His vision was golden; he was unable to hear anything; and because the spell had locked him in place, he was not even able to move due to channeling of skill.

The light is so bright as if a sun emerges above them.

The demon's body was engulfed in a golden beam of light, breaking him down on a molecular level. And a moment later, the aftermath of a destructive spell lay waste on the forest as it creates a vitrified scraped ground.

The Demon Giant that dares to attack him is no more. Its battle-ax and its existence were devoured in an intense beam of light.

“He killed...Alciel...one...of...the...strongest...demon...in...terms...of...raw...strength...was...killed...easily?

It’s normal to be surprised. She doesn’t even know what type of magic he used but it was so powerful...then she remembered a phrase that the golden knight said to them.

God…

That’s right, it was akin to God’s power and his magic proved that... the oppressive presence that he has been releasing since then was enough to make her wet…

Now, the Golden Knight glanced at him with disdainful eyes.

“So weak...he died so easily in a level 55 skill? Now, let me finish you off…stay where you are…”

She’s next? Is she gonna die here? A great demon general like her is going to die in the hands of an unknown enemy that calls itself God?

No...she will not die without putting up a fight...and if she found out that she has no fighting chance to fight against him, she needed something that will take along with her death.

And that is...the two princesses.

“[ Thousand Blood Arrows! ]”

Countless — well over a one or two thousand — arrows of blood erupted from the earth around Shuna. The sharpness of the tips assailed the Golden Knight in all directions. Soon, the golden knight heard a ripple in the air and saw countless arrows of blood coming at him in instantaneous speed. However, he didn’t wave in the slightest rather he let out a depreciating smile.

“Do you think that your skill can kill me, rabid dog?”

The space around him distorted in a haze. This time it was not a sword or a spear or a hammer or an ax. This time it was a shield that shines goldenly.

“[ Guardian Force ]”

A speck of divine light gathered in a shield, accumulating, giving the shield another wave of divine brilliance. The moment the arrow of blood reaches ten meters out, the light that was accumulated was instantly released in all directions. Such force is enough to vaporize the thousand blood arrows into nothingness.

“As expected, you’re truly a strong person...The strongest being that I ever met during my long life...However...If I’m going to die here! I will be with someone!”

Shuna blinked in front of the two confused princesses. Confused at the overwhelming magic power exerted by mysterious golden knights. But, they don’t have the luxury to praise the power of the golden knight instead they should worry about their life which was about to be taken by Shuna.

In Shuna’s hand sprang blood of sword and thrust it right into their hear— the sword of blood stopped midway.

“Ugh?!”

An intense pain was felt in her torso, she looked down to see and saw the hollowness of it. Blood gushes out from it and in her mouth. Did she share the same fate with a sword saint?

Looking down, an arrow was found, she deduced immediately that it was the arrow that took her life.

There are so many ways to die but to die in a single shot of an arrow is utterly humiliating. But to die in the hands of a strong enemy, she will gladly accept it, even if she didn’t stand a chance against it.

The Great Demon General falls lifelessly on the ground.

“A befitting death of a dirty dog, your life means nothing to me.”

The Golden Knight jumped and elegantly landed in front of the two princesses. They can now see the man who saves them. It was a handsome man, his attitude befitting his looks, scary yet dignified. A man that defeats an overwhelming enemy. That man stood in front of them.

But what is the intention of this knight? Is he going to kill them? If he does then they don’t stand a chance against him. They can only kneel as they wait for their death— the golden knight speaks suddenly.

“Under the king’s command, I shall bring you along with me to our stronghold. Do not resist.” He said in a dignified voice.

Fiona can only wrap her hands around her sister's arm while gazing at the beautiful man sheathed in golden armor. She enveloped the embracing hands with her hands indicating that it was okay. After all, it was a man that saved them.

“[ Sleep ]”

A word embedded with magic instantly took effect after they reached the princess's ears.

The two princesses fell to the ground.
