Chapter 7

Alexa POV

Max stayed at the workshop, While Harry with me in the van, not far from the museum. I put the device for the camera on a small waistbag along with the cutting glass pressure and hanged the rope on an addition hook Harry made in my waistbag. Harry Make sure everything that i brought didn't slowing me down. I took of my jacket in the van and put on my ear piece to communicate with Harry.

" Do you hear me?" he asked me.

" Yup. clear and loud. " I answer.

" Okay, becarefull Alexa " He said.

I nodded and looking around before walked out of the van. I climbing up to the fence of the museum, put on the device on the camera surveillance on the fence.

" Did you get that Harry?" I asked him whisper.

" wait....wait... Okay I got that one. You clear to go now" he said

" Okay Harry," I said as I walked fast without noise to the building, climbed to the roof from the building side using rope with hook just in couple of minutes.

" I'm in the roof. I'm going in now." I said after a few moment.

" Okay, becarefull. Don't forget to put another device on the camera." Harry said.

"Got it Harry." I went inside from the attic and climbed down following steel truss to the exhibition room where they displayed the necklace and other jewelery.

I put the device on one of the nearest camera so Harry can have access to the camera building, covering my move.

I waked slowly on the truss not to make any noises.

I saw a guard passed below me, I hold my breath. He stop but he didn't saw me or hear me. And he walked again to the other room.

I looked around to make sure no one in the room and walked slowly on the steel truss and tie knot the rope on the truss right above the necklace been displayed on a glass box.

I put on my infrared glasses and see the infrared alarm light below me. I climbed down the rope slowly not to make noises. And not to touch the infrared.

I turn upside down and strangled my leg on the rope to keep me floating from the ground and then I make a hole on the glass box using small pressured tool I brought on my waist bag, big enough for my hand to reach for the necklace. I put the necklace carefully on a soft sheet bag and put it in my waist bag. And then climbing up again.

And I did it. I got the necklace and now going back carefully before the next guard patrol saw the necklace been stolen.

I made it to the next room, just another room until I reach the attic and get out.

" Freeze!!" I hear a voice down below me. I know it was Agent Hampton voice. s**t! How can he caught me?

" What's going on Alexa? How can he found you? " Harry asked me from the earpiece.

" I got this" I whispered. Not really sure if I got this, but I want Harry to be silent for awhile.

" hands up" Agent Hampton said

I did what he said. I'm guessing he had gun pointed to me right now. I haven't looked, but I know. That is what usually a police or agent do when they said 'Freeze'! Didn't they?

" Go down slowly now or I'll shoot" he said.

" Okay" I answer, "don't shoot" I said. Being shoot was not my intention.

" I'll go down, just going to tied this rope" I told him.

" What are you doing Alexa? If you go down, he will arrest you." Harry told me.

" Slowly" Agent Hampton said.

I went down slowly using the rope I brought. And hands up again once I reach the ground. Getting a gun shoot is the last things I want.

I still didn't facing him, and I still had my mask on.

"Hands against the wall" he said. I did what he said, walking to the nearest wall, paying attention to surround me, looking anything that can help me out and waiting for my opportunity to escape.

I can hear his footstep as he walked closer to me. I concentrate to hear the voice. I can hear he holding a handcuffs as the metal clinked. I saw my way out, as I saw a metal handle in the wall near me. I saw him from the glass cabinet reflection and waited until he closed enough.

I probably only had 1 chance to do this, as his body was bigger than mine. And before his hand reach to my wrist, I hold his wrist and slammed him to the ground with all my power, and reach for his handcuff right away. I put his wrists on the cuff and cross the handcuff over the metal handle fast, before he acknowledge my move. I know he didn't expected that. And then I kicked his gun away from him. I heard Harry gasp.

He tried to let go of his hand, when he realize what just happen.

"What are you doing?" he asked me in surprised.

Huff! My breath panting after slamming his body to the ground. I really need more practice.

" Who ever you are, let me go! There is no way escape for you." he said threatening me.

" I'm sorry I can't do that" I said to agent Hampton as I stand in front of him.

" Stop while you can or You wil not get away from this! I swear I will catch you!" he said.

I reach for his pocket and grab handkerchiefs and cover his mouth and tied his handkerchief to the back. Now he can't scream or yell at me.

" You better go now, a guard is coming to your direction" Harry told me from the ear piece.

" Adios Agent Hampton" I said to him as I swing my right hand in front of my temple. And then I turned around walking fast to the rope.

He tried to said something, but I hear like a murmered.

I turned around and gave him a sweetest smile or maybe a vicious smile to him. I'm glad that I beat him.

I climbed up and walked in the truss to the other room. I took a glance at Agent Thompson who looking at me with anger. I reach to the attic when I hear guard found agen Thompson and uncover his mouth. He yelled something about uncuff him. I move fast, climbing down the building and run to the fence. Climbing up and down the fence and then running fast to the van, as I told Harry to started the engine.

We made our way back to the workshop without anyone following us. We will meet Max at the workshop.

We didn't saw max in the workshop garage when Harry finally park the van.

" Max?" I called him when we step out of the van inside the workshop.

I looked around once again, but max was not there. Harry and I looked at each other. I felt something wrong had happen. I walked to Max's office and open the door.

" Sit down you two. " A fat man said.

He wasn't alone. There were 2 more men with guns And Max was there, sat in the chair, a gun pointed on his temple.

" Frank" Harry said.

" Hello Harry" the fat man called him. So he is Frank, the mobster max told me before.

Both Harry and I sat down. I know I had to be calmed down and not panic.

" Did you get the necklace?" he asked Harry.

" Yes. I'll give you the necklace but you have to let us go" Harry said.

" Sure, I will do that." he said. " now give me" he said with vicious looked.

Harry told me to gave him the necklace. I took the necklace from my waist bag and gave it to frank.

He open the soft sheet and hold the necklace in his hand

" Wow, it's beautiful isn't it?" he said smiling wide. His eyes sparkling looking at the necklace

" And looked who steal it for me." he said looking at me amazed

" Just let us go. We did what you want." Max told him.

" You didn't told me you have a talented daughter Max." Frank said to Max.

" She had nothing to do with this. "Max told him angry. Frank laugh out loud.

" like father like daughter" he said.

" Alright max. We are done for now. " Frank said viciously. He sign his man to let go of max.

" Good job " Frank said to me before he walked out of Max's office.

" Are you okay max? Did he do something bad to you? " I asked him worried.

" I'm fine Alexa" he said. But he didn't looked fine to me. He looked pissed.

" s**t!! f**k you Frank!" he cursed. He was pissed of Frank know about me.

Harty told him to calm down.

" It's over now" Harry said. And Max tried to calm down. He looking at me.

" How's everything out there? Anything happen?" he asked me.

Harry told him everything about what happen at the museum.

" Did he found out who you are?" max asked me about Agent Hampton.

" No, I don't think so. It was dark, and he can't see my face." I said.

" That was closed. But you have to see her Max." Harry said." she good at it"

" No, she is not!" max said loudly.

" She is not going to be like me!" he said to Harry.

" Alright, I'm sorry. I'm just saying." Harry said raiding his both hand.

" You better saying nothing." Max said to Harry again.

" Let's clean this mess and go home." max said

" I will dispose the van." Harry said.

We clean up everything not to leave any trace. Then Max and I go home and Harry go with the van.

" Listen Julie, I know you did great with the job today. But I don't want you to be like me. You are smart, and you have choice to be someone better." he said when we arrived in our house.

" Like I already told you before. Once this job done, it's the best you stayed away from me. I don't won't Frank took advantage on you or I lead you to the scar man. " He said again

" Max... I'm sure there is other way. I don't know how I can survive without you" I said as my eyes begin to teary. I don't want to say good bye to him. He like my own father to me.

" No, Julie. There is no other way. This is for your best. You'll be safe." he said.

" Max." I called his name as I hugged him and my cheek getting wet. And I cried in his shoulder.

" It's okay Julie. I know you'll be okay." he said

He break the hugged and looking at me.

" Now, you take some rest. I'll give you everything you need tomorrow." he said as he wipe the tears in my cheek. I nodded and he kissed my head.

" Max, I want you to know that you are my hero. You saved me, and I owe you my life." I said to him

" Don't said that. You don't owe me anything. Now go, take some rest. " he said to me. I can see his eyes teary.

I walked to my room and Max wait until I go inside and closed the door.

I tried to go sleep but I can't closed my eyes, thinking about what Max said. He was like a father to me, and now we had to seperate without knowing when I will see him again.
