Chapter Seven - Maybe too early for this conversation...

1840 Words
Kylan   Nola sang terribly and danced like a crazy person as we drove the last ten minutes to the house. I have no clue where the outburst came from. Maybe it was the coffee. I don’t know, but she was keeping me entertained. At least she wasn’t acting shy around me. I left her to it.    She stopped when we pulled into the driveway.    “Oh wow, this is beautiful,” she gushed.    “I thought your family had a house here?”   Her reaction was like it was the first time she had been here.    “We do, but as I previously stated, it has been a while since I have been here. And your place is one of the older builds which are more beautiful,”    “Yes, it is,” I smiled.    We got out of the car, and I let us inside. It has been the first time this year I have been here. I gave her a quick tour of the place.    “This place is stunning,” she beamed.    “Thank you. Come on, and I will show you the best part,”    The main reason I bought this place was for the beach. I offered her my hand. She hesitated at first but then accepted it. A strange feeling took over me for a second when she did. I snapped myself out of it and led us outside.    “I am so jealous of this view, of you having the beach right on your doorstep,”    I watched her entire face light up as she looked out in front of her. Then, suddenly, she took her shoes and socks off, running towards the water. What is she doing? She ran straight into the water and started jumping the waves, giggling loudly as she did.    “Nola, what are you doing?” I called to her.    She didn’t answer. I don’t know if she heard me or not. I made my way closer to the water.    “You should come in and join me,” she grinned.    “No, thank you. It isn’t my thing,”    “Aww, come on. Who doesn’t enjoy the ocean?”    “I enjoy it, to look at, but not to get into,” I shrugged.    Nola looked at me, a surprised look on her face. She was looking at me like I was a crazy person.    “What is wrong with you?” she questioned.    “Many things,”    “Come in! I will make it worth your while,” she giggled.    “Nothing is going to make me come in there,” I chuckled.    Nola stopped what she was doing, but her eyes stayed on me.    “Not even a kiss?”   Her tone was innocent. She then smirked before tugging her lip between her teeth. I groaned and clenched my fists.    “Or you can come to me for that,” I replied.    “That is not the deal,” she giggled.    She turned away from me and walked further out into the water. Who knew something as simple as the ocean could make a person so happy? She stopped and turned to me again.    “Last chance, Kylan,” she called out, “You know you want to,”    This time she licked her lips. Hmm, she was teasing. Where was this side of her coming from? I kicked my shoes and socks off, then rolled my jeans to my knees. I can’t believe she has convinced me to do this. I haven’t been in the ocean since I was a kid.    I slowly made my way into the water. I will admit, it felt good. Nola smiled brightly. I don’t know what my thoughts are on her getting me to do something I don’t usually do.    “I will take that kiss now you bargained with,”    “Maybe I’ve changed my mind about that,”    I reached for her, grasped her hip and brought her body to mine.    “I know that is a lie. You have wanted my lips again since we kissed yesterday. You used this as an excuse,” I smirked.    “Are you always so arrogant?”   She slipped her arms around my neck as she asked. By doing so, she brushed her front against mine. It was enough to make my length stir awake.    “It is all part of my charm,” I replied sarcastically.    “It seems to work for you,”    I have had enough of talking. I closed any distance between us and pressed my lips roughly to hers. She moaned deeply against my lips. All of the same feelings when we kissed yesterday ran through me.    I am not one for PDA, it isn’t my thing, but I didn’t care in the moment. I keep my personal life personal. Her lips on mine, her body close to me, is enough for me to forget about anything else.    Nola already seemed to be causing me to break my rules. I don’t like breaking my own rules. I had a reason for them. It was better for everyone if I stuck to them.    I parted from her, and the only reason for doing so was because I needed to breathe. I was panting. My heart seemed to be pounding in my chest. Nola’s breathing was heavy. Her eyes were still closed, and she ran her finger over her lips.    “We should go eat,” I breathed out.    I rushed inside because I needed a moment away from her. I went into the bathroom and locked the door. I splashed some cold water over my face. I looked at myself in the mirror and shook my head. I hated the person looking back. I only had one mirror in my entire house, any other ones I smashed.    “You need to be careful,” I whispered to myself.    I stood up straight, smoothed my clothes out and took a few deep breaths before exiting the bathroom. Nola was nervously pacing the living room. When she heard me approach, she stopped.   “Kylan, if you want me to leave, then tell me,” She sighed.    “If I didn’t want to be here with you today, I wouldn’t have shown up this morning,”    “Maybe you changed your mind. One minute you are kissing me, the next you are running away,”    “That doesn’t mean I want you to leave, Nola,” I replied, slightly annoyed.    I understand where she is coming from, but if anyone is giving mixed signals, it is her.    “Don’t get annoyed at me for asking a damn simple question,” she responded, just as annoyed.    “Don’t talk to me like that, Kitten,”    “Or what? What are you going to do, Kylan?”    Feisty, another side I didn’t know she had. I get pissed off usually if I get spoken to like this. Though, right now, with Nola, it is turning me on.    “You don’t want to know,” I smirked.    “Tell me, Kylan,” she replied through heavy breaths.    I grabbed her to me and reached into her ear.    “Do you really want to know what I do when someone talks to me like that?” I breathed into her ear.    “Yes,” she stammered out.    “I usually s***k their ass or tie them to my bed and watch as they beg me to f**k them,”    I kept my voice low and seductive. I am not usually open about these things so early on, but I couldn’t help myself to see how she reacts. Her next move and the way she will respond will tell me everything I need to know. If she backs away, then after today, I will stay clear because it would never work.    “Is, is that what you are into it?” she asked.    She wasn’t backing off, so that is something, I guess.    “Yes. Do you like those things?” I asked.    “I, I have never, um, tried any of them,”    “Do they scare you?”.   Nola took a step back. I believed that was my answer, but I was wrong. I could see she was thinking about it.    “No, they don’t scare me. I don’t think. I guess you could say I am curious,” she said, “what exactly are you into?”    “I have a high s*x drive and a particular s****l appetite. I like to be in control. I enjoy things like cuffs and toys. I use s*x as a way to feel, I guess. I don’t do attachment or feelings unless s****l,” I replied.    I regretted saying it was a way to feel. I hoped that she didn’t pick up on that with everything else I said.    “Hmm, OK,” she replied, “How do you work out when people have the same s****l interests?”    I wasn’t expecting so many questions, but I will answer them unless she asks a question I don’t like.    “I meant it when I told you that I don’t f**k strangers. I have two women who I have s*x with, ones who I have had for years. Women who like the same as me,”    “That makes sense, I guess,” she spoke, “So what is your interest in me? Is it purely s****l? Do you want to add me to that list?”    “Honestly, Nola, I am not sure. I am still trying to work it out,” I responded, “I have not been drawn in like this in a long time, or ever,”    “OK. Thank you for being honest with me,” she smiled and kissed my cheek.    “You aren’t scared off?” I asked, surprised.    “Nope,” she smiled.    “Nola, I am not the type of man who gets into relationships. I am f****d up in more ways than you could possibly know. I am giving you an out if you want it,”    “I don’t know if this could work, but I would like to get at least a chance to find out,” she smiled.    “Are you sure?”  “Yes. Now, can we please eat? I am famished,”   “Yes, let’s go,”    I was still taken aback by her reaction. I honestly thought she would have run off. There was still time for her to change her mind. I will give her the rest of the day, and if she chooses to walk away, I will respect that.    I slipped my arm around her waist, and we headed out. The restaurant where we were going is about a half-an-hour walk from the house.    “Would you judge me if I have three courses for lunch?” she laughed.    “No, you can have what you want, beautiful,”    She grinned widely at me. I was looking forward to spending my time with her.
