Chapter 13: Finally Meeting

Jade smiled, and replied,"it's me!" The stranger looked up with glee written on her face as she embraced Jade in a hug.
"Well don't be a stranger come on in! We have a lot to catch up on!" The stranger looked past Jade to see that there was a person behind her.
"Who might this be?" She asked.
Jade looked lost until she remembered that her friend was behind her.
"Oh, Lashai meet Evie. Evie meets Lashai." Jade introduced the two.
"It's nice to meet you! If I may ask how do you and Jade know each other?" Lashai asked Evie.
Evie made a small smile. She looked back at Jade, and then back at Lashai.
"I suppose she would have told you that, and Jay I realized that you wouldn't have brought your friend unless it's important. Come in." Evie made a gesture for Jade and Lashai to come inside.
Once the two got inside they noticed the décor, and how advanced the house was. They were introduced to stairs.
They went into the second story of the house to be welcomed to a fancy living room.
Evie sat down on one of the sofas and motioned for them to do the same. "So what brings you here?" Evie looked straight at the two looking for an answer
Jade coughed," I was seeking shelter for my friend. It's him again, Aditya. He has come back.
I wouldn't ask for your help if we hadn't tried calling the cops, getting a restraining order, and going through the protection agency.
Lashai got help, but I couldn't because I was part of it. She wasn't she was just a backup. Please take her in!"
Evie looked at Jade as she was thinking. She smiled at Jade.
"Of course I will take her in! She reminds me of us."
Lashai looked at Jade confused. "Jade, who is she to you?"
She forgot that she hadn't told Lashai who Evie was. In fact, no one knew about her, but her mom and Joshua.
Evie looked at Jade shocked that she hadn't told Lashai where she was taking her.
"She is my sister." Lashai's mouth flew open. She looked at Jade then back at Evie.
Evie laughed a little looking at Lashai's reaction to her friend's words.
"Am I still a big disgrace to the family?"
Jade tensed up at Evie's words before relaxing again.
"I'm sorry, Lashai I will bring your things to you Saturday. I will also take care of the school, and do not go out to stay in the house all day.
I must go." Jade made her leave as her sister followed her to the door.
Before Jade left she looked up at her sister. "Thank you, and I am sorry about mom." Not hearing her response Jade got back in her car and made her leave to go back home.
After a few hours have passed she parked in the school parking lot seeing she had one more hour of school.
She decided to go just to get her mind off of things. She wasn't in her best outfit.
She was wearing a plain pink T-shirt, ripped jeans, and converses.
She locked her car door and stepped out of the car.
On her way out of the car, a note fell out of her pocket.
She picked it up to see that it was Ben's note he made for her that morning along with the necklace and rose.
She decided to actually read it this time.
'Dear Jade,
I am sorry about what I said at dinner meet me after school.
Yours truly,
Ben, Brooks'
Jade smiled at the note and nodded her head. She decided she would meet him after school. First, she really wanted to meet his sister.
His sister has good looks just like him, but what will she say about Ben living with her?
