He let go of her, but kept hold of her hand."She is my sister." He told Jade while he ran a hand through his hair. Jade's mouth went wide open from shock. "She is your what?!" Jade asked. Ben sighed than sat down as he kept running his hands through his hair. "You heard me, sister. Now please eat your food before it gets cold. I will explain everything after we are done. Can we just please enjoy our selves before I have to explain?" He questioned Jade with a hint of hurt in his voice. She nodded her head as she sat down trying not to make a bigger scene than was needed. For the rest of dinner, they ate in silence, because of the scene she just showed. "For real this time how is the food?" He asked Jade curious and hoped not to get shut down again. She saw him smile weakly while he sat motionless like nothing just happened. She smiled back, and replied,"it is delicious! I was gonna tell-," she got interrupted by Ben. "Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it." He replied closing his eyes for a moment and smiled briefly before eating again. After a while when they were done eating. Jade took both of the empty dinner plates and took them to the dishwasher. "I'm sorry I jumped to conclusions," Jade told Ben. Ben smiled at her. "It's okay. It's not your fault. I am going upstairs, it seems you got it from here." Ben replied because he tried to help, but she shook her head no. Jade felt like she made their relationship worse. Well not that they had a relationship, but she felt like she was in the wrong for once. She finished washing the dishes and headed to her room to take a shower. Once she got to her room Lashai was watching Netflix. "How was dinner?" Questioned Lashai as she finally put her phone down. Jade looked at Lashai and continued to get her clothes for her shower. " I feel like I messed it up." Jade answered stressed out. Lashai went over to Jade and forced her to sit down beside her. "Tell me everything!" Consoled Lashai. ~Time Skip~ "What?!" Lashai yelled. The shock was written all over her face. "Why didn't he tell you?" Jade shrugged, and replied," maybe because I didn't ask, or he thought I wouldn't notice. Maybe I'm just not important." Lashai saw the sadness in her friend's eyes and held her hand. She smiled, "Everything is gonna be fine. I am sure if he cares enough to sleep with you he is going to make it up to you." Lashai told Jade so it would make Jade feel better. Jade smiled and got up to go take a shower. She shut the door bringing all her belongings that she was going to use with her. She adjusted the shower water and got in. She cleaned herself off, and then just soaked in the shower, loving the hot temperature that hit her body. Seeing that her hands were getting soggy she got out of the shower and dried herself off. She brushed her hair, brushed her teeth, and put her hair in a sloppy bun. She put on her pajamas and got ready for bed. She went back into her room to find her friend asleep again. She rolled her eyes at her friend at how much she could sleep in one day. She gently went down to Lashai and shook her arm. "Lashai, Lashai wake up for a second." Jade woke her friend who grunted in response. "What," Lashai grunted. Jade laughed at her. "We are skipping school tomorrow," Jade told her friend. Lashai replied, "Mkay," then fell back asleep. Lashai went beside her friend and fell asleep. Later that night Jade got a text from two people. One was her brother. 'Hey sis, mom and me are staying at a hotel. I really can't tell you why, but will be back as soon as possible. How are you, and Ben?" No wonder they were gone for so long. Jade knew they were at a hotel, but the question of why stuck with her. 'Okay have fun! Which hotel? Also, we are fine he is like a version of a mini mom!' Jade laughed at the way she had put Ben in the text. Knocking her out of her thoughts she heard her phone buzz. 'we are in Florida, so three days away from you. Lol. Well, you must be getting sleepy, and my phone is dying goodnight!' Jade's face was shocked. Why would they be all the way in Florida? The only person they knew in Florida was her beloved grandmother. She decided not to think about it, so she wouldn't be so stressed out. She looked at the other text. Once she saw who it was from she felt herself get nauseated. 'Hello, sunshine! Remember I want Lashai in a few days. Also, I have seen that Mr.Brooks lives with you now. One word and harm come to your friend. Now rest darling, and remember that in a few days I want Lashai.' Remembering that made her face turn even paler, and made her sicker to her stomach. 'You evil bastard! You will never have her. Once you do I will get her back. What we had is over. What Lashai made with you is over now leave us alone!" Not wanting to see his response she went to bed and ignored her phone. A few hours later Jade went up to use the restroom when on her nightstand she saw a note with a beautiful flower on it and a necklace. She put the note, flower away, and put on the necklace. The necklace was a golden chain with the words 'forgive me' on it. She knew she got it from Ben and started to feel like everything was going to be okay between them. She made her way to the restroom when she saw in the mirror were written words 'That wasn't a nice princess. Be rude one more time, and I can make you suffer slowly.' Jade stood there in horror losing the urge to use the restroom. Her vision became blurry, as she made her way to the floor holding herself. She began to tear, and then her tears became sobs. She was like that for a while when she got up, used the restroom, and then went back to bed. She laid down next to Lashai and welcomed sleep to come. The next day. Jade woke up late. Around 11:00 in the morning Jade had already gotten ready. She woke up with her friend. Lashai, who complained the whole time. "Okay, so what are we doing today? I am guessing we skipped for a reason." Lashai commented. Jade rolled her eyes and gave Lashai her keys. "We are going to Starbucks, or anywhere just to getaway. So don't worry about it I will tell you when we get there." Jade replied smiling. On their way to Starbucks was complete silence, until that got to Starbucks, and sat down. Jade went to go get their usual and sat at their booth. "Okay, so what is it? I assume there is something you have to tell me that is extremely important." Lashai asked her best friend as she went to take a sip of her coffee. "What makes you say that?" Jade questioned. Lashai rolled her eyes and looked around. She sat her coffee down seriously looking at her friend confused. "You skipped school to go to Starbucks just to tell me something, and we both know that Starbucks is the only place I can calmly take something," Lashai answered. Jade nodded her head looking down at her coffee. "A few nights ago I got a text from Aditya saying to meet him at the regular place we used to meet him at and said to hand you to him or else. He also knows that Ben lives with me and that I can't tell him anything. That I have to hand you in peacefully, and he will leave. Last night he texted again and told me as a reminder of where he wanted us to meet in a few days. I would have told you sooner, but it didn't seem like the right time. I'm sorry. Here read the messages yourself." Jade told her friend with deep sadness. Lashai looked like she lost all the color in her face, and ended up chugging down her coffee. Jade looked at her friend worried. Lashai weakly smiled, trying to hold back the tears in her eyes. "It's okay I understand. I'm glad you told me now. The question is what are we going to do now Jade?'' Lashai asked looking at her friend for comfort. Jade took her friend's hand and smiled. "I don't know, but I won't let him take you. We can't go back to my place. Sadly it's not that secure either. When we are done I will tell you where to go." Jade told her friend. They got done talking at Starbucks and drinking coffee. Jade took Lashai to a place in the middle of nowhere. The place was huge. It looked like a mansion. They came up to the door once they got out of the car. Jade went up to the door and rung the doorbell just to be greeted by a woman with brown hair. "Hello?" This stranger asked. Jade smiled, and replied," It's me!"
