Jade went inside the school going straight to the fifth block. She was late but didn't care.
"Ms. Edens, this is the fourth time you have been late, and just for that I am giving you detention."
Jade rolled her eyes. "Who is going to be watching over detention?"
Ben smirked at her response. " You are going to come in here for detention. Now sit down, and get your supplies ready."
Jade sighed and made her way to her desk. Time went by slow, and she realized it was getting harder to keep focus in class, but her work always seemed to get done.
Finally, for what seemed like forever class was over, but she just stayed sitting down.
Everyone left leaving both of them alone.
Ben went to shut his classroom door, and then made his way to his desk.
Jade looked at him and laughed.
"What's so funny?" Jade looked at him finally controlling her laughter. She shrugged and looked at the floor.
"I wanna take you somewhere." Ben grabbed Jade by her hand. Jade didn't have anything, but her car keys and phone.
She chuckles leaving her school supplies behind in his classroom. She gets in his car seeing that he was really wanting to take her to wherever he was taking her to.
"Where are you taking us?" Ben looks at her and smirks. "If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise would it? I will tell you one thing though. It's time you met Kayla."
Jade sat back in the seat staring out the window. She was wondering what Kayla would say. She wanted to meet his sister, but she dreaded that he would have to leave.
Not that she liked his company, but she would miss Ben.
Ben put his hand on her lap giving it a comforting squeeze and smiled her way.
"Penny for your thoughts beautiful?" Jade looked away from the window and looked straight ahead.
"Are you leaving?" Ben looked at her from the corner of his eyes. He squeezed her thigh a little tighter just not where it would hurt.
"Honestly, I don't know princess. Not trying to make you sad, but my house will be rebuilt in a few days. Which means I'm going to have to leave at that time. Don't worry it's just across the street."
Jade smiled at what he said, trying to make the mood less depressing.
"Okay," Jade said putting her hands over Ben's hand that was located on her thigh.
He tensed up with a sudden touch, but relaxed. They entwined their hands together.
Before Jade knew it they were back at her house.
They went to the door together with their hands entwined.
Realizing that they had to let go they both sighed. Jade went in first, and then Ben came in after her.
"Kayla comes here please, I am located in the kitchen."
They both sat on opposite ends waiting for Kayla to come downstairs. Soon they heard footsteps coming down the stairs.
"Yes, Benny?" Kayla looked at Ben but didn't notice the other female until she had eye contact.
She smiled. She looked at Jade, and then back at Ben. "Oh, I see what's going on here."
"You do?" Ben and Jade said at the same time.
"You're getting married! Finally, did you know that he hasn't-" Kayla was interrupted before she could finish that sentence.
"No, I am not getting married, She is one of my students from the school. We three need to talk about something."
Ben looked a Kayla making a small gesture at the chair. She sat down waiting for one of them to talk.
"Kayla, I am actually staying with her, because we are neighbors, and my house is getting rebuilt. In a few days, I will be able to move back.
Until then their family has taken me in until it gets rebuilt.
I know her brother. I am sure you remember Joshua. You were in his room.
I will be moving out Monday to go to my house. Jade this is Kayla, my little sister. Kayla, This is Jade Joshua's little sister."
Ben looked at Kayla to make sure to see if she could handle all that he had said.
Kayla smiled. "Great! I can't wait! This is gonna be fun. Jade, it's nice to meet you I hope we can become friends!"
"Maybe even sisters." Kayla winked at her where Ben couldn't notice.
"Yeah, maybe. It was nice meeting you to Kayla. You can stay with me in my room that way everyone has a room.
Well if that is okay with you, Ben?"
Jade and Kayla looked over at Ben waiting for his answer.
He nodded his head in a loss of words.
"What about Lashai?"
Jade had frozen at his question but soon relaxed. " She went back home."
"Well, I am going to take a shower I will leave you two alone."
With that said, Kayla went back upstairs. "You okay with everything?"
Jade looked at Ben and smiled.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I am glad you told me everything." Jade smiled at Ben.
Ben smiled back. He was showing a genuine smile. Happiness and love were held in Ben's eyes.
At least that is what Jade could see. " Are you ready to get going?"
Jade nodded her head, and let Ben lead her out the door and into his car.
They got in the car and rode on many roads for at least one hour. Soon they hit a back dirt ride surrounded by trees.
At the end of the dirt road, Ben parked the car looking extremely excited. "Where are we?" Jade asked.
Ben smiled. "You will see. Come on follow me." They got out of the car and were welcomed to a lovely forest.
Ben came from behind Jade. "Do you trust me?"
Jade was shocked by this question, but couldn't really blame him for asking that.
Jade nodded her head trying to sound as cool as possible but failed.
She was too excited to see what laid ahead. She couldn't help, but wonder what he had in store for her, and why he asked this question.
Jade felt Ben's hand on her shoulder from behind her. "I am going to blindfold you now, and I promise I won't do anything to you."
Jade bit her lip nervously but nodded her head. Soon she felt something tie around her face.
She could also feel Ben's body heat from how close he was to her.
Jade couldn't help but question herself if she was falling in love with her teacher.
