*Five years later* ~Aneria's POV~ God, it sucks. Everything in this school just...sucks. I've been studying between humans for 5 years and still, I'm not used to controlling myself around them. I can't be myself in a place filled with humans. I don't understand why we needed to study here in the first place. "Cause mom wanted," Reva replied in a duh tone. I rolled my eyes, "Thanks for the pleasant reminder." Reva is my wolf and saying she is sassy would be an understatement cause she is way more than that. She always loves to bite my ears off whenever she finds the right opportunity. Unlike other werewolf kids, I shifted into my wolf when I was sixteen. It was mom's special royal genes that made me shift early into my wolf as compared to others who shift on their eighteenth birthday. I'm happy that I combined with my wolf earlier than everyone and was excited because I got the opportunity to be with my mate sooner but the clock wasn't ticking in my favor. Sadly, I still haven't met my mate. I brushed this thought off and walked straight to my locker not minding anyone's business to finish this day without any hindrance as it will be my last day at school. But of course, humans here don't like seeing me minding my own business. A group of 4 idiots walked towards me with a smirk on their faces and Kevin the head i***t winked at me, "Your birthday celebration at my place, hun." I opened my locker hard and crushed the football that I snatched from Archer last week. I turned around smiling sweetly at them and smirked seeing their wide eyes, "I have an amazing family and awesome parents who love me endlessly. No need to be my guardian prick." I saw anger flashing in Kevin's eyes but he didn't risk taking a step ahead. The crushed ball is still in my hand and everyone knows how good I am at self-defense. My one punch and Kevin's ugly face will become beautiful blue for days. And with Ev, Ash, Ian, and Archer in the school, no one dares to say anything to me. With a loser face of his, he walked away with his minions. While exiting the hallway, he smacked the butt of a nerd and smirked at me. I groaned, it irks me how these stupid stud guys misbehave with reserves and I can't even make them feel their saying 'Colder than witch's titty'. Humans don't know about us, hence we are bound to keep our powers concealed from the outer world. And this is the sole reason why I am keeping my icy hands to myself. "Ann..." "I heard..." I responded to my wolf who was on alert. A faint whimper reached my ears and I closed my eyes focusing on the direction of pained sounds. "Last day Ann. Just don't hit." Grace said while placing her hand on my shoulder to calm my growing aura. I HATE THESE BIMBOS. I took off to the janitor's closet and saw big ass b***h and her bum-sucker pouring bathroom cleaners on the shaken one. "Freeze them in those damn bathroom cleaners!" Reva growled in my head. I wish I could! I kicked on the nearby caution board and the things around it landed straight on the big ass b***h. "Who dared to do that!" Miranda yelled. "Aneria..." her bum-sucker, Riley gulped and I smirked. I love seeing her ugly scared face. I motioned the poor girl to move outside and walked towards the two making Riley walk backward. "You can't hit us," Miranda smirked while playing with her hair strands. "Who said I was going to hit YOU?" My mischievous smile confused them and in a blink, they both were lying in the cleaning buckets after getting hit by a trolly. I poured the same cleaner on their head and smirked, "Thanks for making my last day memorable." "You s**t's-" "DON'T YOU DARE COMPLETE YOUR SENTENCE." Nobody can insult my parents! I grabbed her hair to make her taste her s**t blood but my brother's voice echoed in my head, "Don't hit little one." Soon I was dragged away from her and Miranda's face was worth seeing when Ash took me out while smirking at her. She always tried to allure him with her sultry moves but my loyal brother never gave in. He is loyal to his not found mate. Well...we both are. Everyone was happy that we will find our mates before turning 18 but guess our mates aren't that eager to meet us or they are getting wasted with someone else. "For my sake, please don't think that," Reva said. Well...he better not or I might punch him straight in his nose before pulling him to me. "I wish I could've seen Miranda's face when Ash pulled Ann away," Ian laughed while getting out of the car. "Another brawl fiery ball?" Mom's voice echoed from the left corner of the parking lot. I eyed Ian, I wish I could inflict mental pain on others as mom does! He smiled sheepishly and spoke like a Robo when mom narrowed her eyes at him. Undoubtedly her eyes are beautiful but when she looks at us like that...we all relive that moment when we sneakily saw our enemies moving like snakes and heard their ear-splitting cries. Mom and dad were doing nothing. Mom was eyeing them with her murderous eyes and there were satisfying smiles on their faces. And that smile scares us. I still remember how blood oozed out of their body without even touching them and how they lost their breath under her gaze. "How was the school princess? I heard someone tried to hit on you?" Dad asked while kissing mom's head. "You didn't tell me about this. Was it that brainless human? Kevin?" Ash asked. I rolled my eyes and nodded, "A crushed football and his lips were sealed from uttering any nonsense." With a bright smile of his, dad gave me thumbs up and Archer jerked his head toward me while screaming like five year old, "You destroyed my football!" "I'll get you a new one Archer," Mom said while shaking her head at me while I sweetly smiled at her. "It's alright aunt Serena." The way Archer eyed me tells that this Cowpie is surely thinking something against me in his vicious mind. I have to be careful of him. "Alright, kids. Take some rest. We have pack dinner tonight." Dad kissed my head and left with mom to see all the preparation for tonight's dinner. He might have said pack dinner but this dinner is not limited to our pack only. Ash and my birthday are just a few hours later and every year a day before our birthday, along with our pack and relatives, dad's allies are also invited. With dad's allies being here, Evan, Ash, and I always hope one of us will find our mate, but it never happens. "You are turning 18 tonight. Let's hope for the best." Reva said in a comforting voice. Hope so. I slumped down on the bed and mind-linked Ash, "Will you be taking king's responsibility from today onwards?" "No. I will wait for my mate. We both will be taking responsibility together. But are you sure little one? You don't want to be a queen?" "Crystal clear brother. Tons of duty...ugh...not my thing." I'm not scared of the work that lies upon the king and queen's heads but scared of the distance that they bear because of that work. If there were major problems in any pack, mom and dad must be separated for several days. It takes days to get them back home, and till then, whoever is left behind misses their other half terribly. I've seen my parents...I don't think I can let the same happen to me. Also, people need someone who is less prone to rage and will deal with them patiently. And this individual is not me. I don't like it when someone bites my ear unless it's my wolf. Ash will lead them better than me. "Sure?" my brother confirmed. "Yup." "As you say kiddo." "Don't call me that! You evil twin!" We are of the same age, how can he call me that! I don't like being called a kid especially when I'm waiting for my mate since the age of sixteen! I stripped naked and stood in the cold shower. I started swirling my fingers and dancing in the shower and soon I was covered with waves of water. Giggles left my mouth, it feels like these waves are trying to hide my nakedness. Shampooing my hair and taking all the day's stress out of my body, I stepped out of the bathroom in a bathrobe and walked straight into my closet. I took a sky blue satin strap dress which has a backless back and a slit till thigh on the left leg. I paired the same sky blue color heels with the dress that grandpa gifted me last month. Quickly blow-drying my long beautiful black hair, I moved to do my makeup. I muffled through the drawers of my dresser, I'm sure my makeup was here. I always kept my makeup here. Did my makeup grow feet in just a few hours? Or someone... A growl left my mouth and I yelled, "Archer Turner!!!"
