The next couple of days felt like they were all waiting for something to happen. But nothing did. Piper noticed nobody else following her, and Joel was getting little information on the background he was pulling about Nathan. On the surface, the young man seemed to be just what he was: a surfer looking for the next great wave. But there were gaps in the information, and that concerned Joel.
