“Luna, I’m happy to see you here!” Ricktor greeted me with a warm smile. I fidgeted nervously. After the incident at the bar last night, Torin decided I needed to train in basic self-defense so that I would have at least a chance of defending myself. I’ve never trained before, though, and I didn’t really know what to expect. I watched the others in the gym sparring and working with the equipment, feeling hopelessly intimidated. Ricktor seemed to have shrugged off what he saw in that hallway, but I know he was a driving force behind convincing Torin to let me be here. “We’re going to start from the very beginning and take it slow, ok?” he said with a smile.
