Selena’s P.O.V

We were at moms having a BBQ and I knew that she was going to talk to Holly because I had pulled her to the side and spoke to her. I know that mom had explained everything to us, but I was in too much of a shock to take it all in, so I wanted to hear it again and she explained everything to me, including how she got her memories back. It was just crazy that all of this had happened, that she had been through all of this, but I now knew everything and then our conversation turned to Holly. Mom told me that she was going to test Holly, but I had no clue as to how or what she was going to do and I just hoped that she didn’t start a fight. I know mom is a badass fighter, but Holly was too and if those two got into it, it wouldn’t be a fast fight. It would be brutal and it would be hard standing by watching them tear into each other, but we all knew better than to interfere in something like that. I knew that dad still loved mom and that he loves Holly, but what does all this mean now? Does dad want mom back or is he staying with Holly? I wish I knew what was going on because all of this confused the hell out of me and I wanted answers, but today isn’t the day. Dad and Holly arrived and I had a weird feeling of being watched, but just as the feeling came, it went and I just shrugged it off. Mom and Holly went away to talk and after a couple of hours they came back and I was so glad that they were both in one piece with no signs of blood on either of them. I guess their talk went well because they were smiling and laughing with each other, which was good. We all sat down to eat and everyone was having a blast, getting along, laughing and talking, but I couldn’t help the shiver that ran down my spine. I felt like someone was watching us again. Every now and then I would look up and take a look around, but I never saw anything out of the ordinary. I knew that there was something or someone out there watching us and I didn’t like it one bit. I would have to tell Ace and dad about it later on, but right now I’m not going to ruin the mood.

Isaiah’s P.O.V

We were at mom's house and it felt so damn weird. Mom was with Ace and dad was with Holly, which didn’t feel right to me. Every now and then I would see dad steal glances at mom and vice versa, but all it did was confuse me. What’s going on between them? I wanted to say something, but like hell was I going to ruin the day, especially as everyone was having such a good time and getting along. It made me so happy when I heard mom laughing because I had missed the sound so much and then dad laughed too, which just made me even happier. My family was together, not how I expected it to be, but we were all here and happy. I was just so happy to have my mom back, even if she was with another Alpha and he was my friend because as long as she was happy and kept safe then I was happy. It didn’t matter if she was with my dad or not because she was here with us and that was all that mattered.

Anna’s P.O.V

I don’t know what was going on, but I kept feeling like someone was watching us and I knew that Selena felt it too because she kept looking up and around. She acted like nothing was going on each time, but I knew that she was feeling it too and just didn’t want to say anything.

“Selena, you feel it too, don’t you?” I asked, mind-linking her so that no one else would hear us.

“Yeah sis, I do, but I don’t want to say anything because everyone is having a blast and I don’t want to ruin it.” Selena replied, mind-linking me back. We both kept eating so that no one would realise we were linking each other.

“Yeah I know what you mean. I don’t see anything and I keep looking around, but there is nothing to be seen or moving around, it’s just a weird feeling I have.” I said, looking around again.

“Let’s just be on our guard, just in case something happens.” Selena replied and I nodded, as we both continued to keep a look out.

Gabrielle’s P.O.V

There was something going on between Selena and Anna because they kept looking at each other without saying a word and I knew that they were mind-linking each other. Screw it, I thought to myself as I opened my mind up to both of them.

“Alright sisters, what the hell is going on? I know something is up because you keep looking at each other and then look around, so spill.” I said, mind-linking both of them.

“Everything is fine, we are just on guard because we keep feeling something or someone watching us, but don’t say anything.” Selena replied to me and I felt the hair on my neck stand up.

“s**t, I thought that I was the only one feeling that. I was feeling it when dad and Holly got here and then it stopped, but then I started feeling it again and the hairs on my neck are standing up, so I knew that something was going on. Let’s stop the link before mom and dad, Ace and Holly figure out what's going on.” I said and ended the link.

Rachel’s P.O.V

We all finished eating and began talking to each other in little groups, but there was something going on and I knew that the guys felt it because I did as well, but I could hear my sisters mind-linking each other. I knew that they were trying to hide it from me because I was the youngest besides Bryce, but they tend to forget that I knew things before they happened and I knew that Cara was coming after mom. I knew that she was out there watching us and I needed to let them know that I knew, so I opened my mind up to my sisters and brother, Isaiah.

“Guys, I know what’s going on and I know who is watching us. She’s trying to get to my mom, so we all need to be on our guard, don’t let her get her.” I said, mind-linking all of them. They all looked at each other and then at me, nodding, but Isaiah looked really confused and it was then I realised that he hadn’t been mind-linking my sisters, so I quickly explained it all to him. He looked pissed off and then they all came over to me and surrounded me. I knew what they were doing, they wanted to include me as well and I was thankful to them. We began talking and I told them everything that I knew, but then we had to figure out a way to lure her out without making our parents suspicious of what we were doing.

Cara’s P.O.V

After Dagger and I had spoken we rushed back out here to carry on with my plan. We were hidden in the same spot and I was watching everyone have a good time, but it was strange. At first the kids were all laughing and joking around, then suddenly they stopped and I knew it was because they had sensed I was out here watching them. I expected them to alert their parents, but instead they all walked over to the young lady that was standing alone and surrounded her, like they were trying to keep her safe or something. This must be Holly’s daughter, I thought to myself and then another thought came to me and I smiled from ear to ear. Why get one when you can get them both? Now this is going to be so much fun, I thought as I looked over at my pretend mate.

“How about this, we can get them both, Holly and her daughter. If we finish them both off then Mercury will be so broken-hearted that it will speed up the process.” I said, smirking as we jumped down from the tree.

“When?” Dagger asked and I shrugged.

“This isn’t happening today, they are on full alert, so I’m going to pick them up in a few days and then we can lock them up for months, that will do it.” I replied and he nodded, but looked unsure. Was he having doubts about our deal? Was he going to go back on it and rat me out? I thought to myself, knowing that if he did I would have to kill him too and I had no problem with that at all.
