Cara’s P.O.V

I woke up to a weird feeling, like I was so thirsty that I could drink an ocean of water, but it wasn’t water I craved. What the hell happened to me? I thought to myself and reached up to the stinging feeling coming from my neck.

“No….” I whispered, feeling the bite marks that were on my neck. A vampire. A f*****g vampire had bit me. A motherfucking vampire had bitten me and I was going through the change.

“That son of b***h, I’ll kill him.” I said, feeling pissed off as my thirst grew. Whoever this son of a b***h was he’d had the nerve to f*****g hit me on the head, knocking me out and then bite me. Why the hell couldn’t he have just killed me? I thought, but then I touched where he had bitten me again and felt tingles running through the bite. s**t, he was my mate. Why couldn’t he have just come up to me and said ‘hey, we’re mates, let's do this’ no, he had to be a f*****g coward and hit me over the head like a f*****g caveman and then bite me, changing me into the same bloodsucking bastard as what he was. I swear to the Moon Goddess that I will show that f*****g son of a b***h that I am the wrong one to do this to. I got out of the huge bed and started pacing back and forth, trying not to think about how thirsty I was, but then I heard footsteps coming closer to the room I was in. I picked up a lamp from the bedside table and waited for whoever was coming to open the door. The door opened and a man walked through it, so I swung the lamp and hit him as hard as I could, breaking the lamp and knocking him out. This was my turn now and he is going to regret picking me. I found silver chains in the walk-in closet and it made me wonder what kind of sick f**k I was dealing with, but I didn’t have time to think for too long as I had no idea how long he would be out for. I quickly got to work and bound his wrists with the chains, knowing that it doesn’t just hurt werewolves, but vampires too. I guess that I was immune to it at the moment because technically I wasn’t a wolf anymore, but I wasn’t a vampire yet either, which I was grateful for or the silver would have burned my skin too. I grabbed a bottle of vervain that I kept hidden in my pocket at all times, just in case I needed to defend myself against vampires and poured it over the chains, making his skin burn at the contact. A few more minutes went by when he finally woke up and hissed at the pain, making me chuckle.

“How does it feel, you son of a b***h? Hitting me on the head like a damned f*****g caveman. I have a deal for you and I won’t take no for an answer.” I asked as he wriggled in his seat, making the chains burn his flesh even more.

“Go ahead, I’m listening. Anything to get these f*****g chains off me.” He hissed out, making me smirk. I told him the plan that I was originally going to do and he listened intently the whole time, but kept wincing when the chains burned his flesh in a new place, making his skin sizzle and smell.

“When the plan is done then you can have her. You can change her and she will be at your beck and call to do with as you wish, but until then leave me the f**k alone. Is that clear? I was just about to snatch her up when you went all caveman on me.” I said, pissed off that he had ruined my first chance. He sat there in silence and I knew that he was thinking over what I had said, but even if he didn’t agree to it, I was still going to go through with it and he was still going to do it as well, whether he liked it or not.

“Who are you, I mean your name?” I asked, as he hadn’t bothered to introduce himself, not that I had given him a chance to.

“Dagger, my name is Dagger and I am your mate.” He replied and I rolled my eyes at him. Again with the whole mate thing, didn’t he understand that there was only one person I wanted and it wasn’t him, not by a long shot? Damn I felt thirsty, I thought to myself as the feeling had just kept growing and growing as the minutes passed.

“You know you really should drink something, here, let me help you through this.” Dagger said, smiling at me. I knew that I needed help with this or it was just going to get worse, so I removed his chains and he gave me some human blood.

“Just because I’m letting you help me doesn’t mean that I am your mate. Got it?” I said, finally feeling the thirst ease up. I guess I still had to go through this whole change s**t, but it couldn’t be as bad as what it had been, right?

“If you say so. Now tell me more about this plan of yours.” Dagger replied, making me roll my eyes at him again. I explained everything to him about Ace and my plan for Holly and Cheyenne, going over every detail with him.

“Alright then, I’ll help you get Holly on one condition. After we get her you have to be my mate for a month.” Dagger said and I shook my head.

“No, no way. I am not your mate.” I replied, but he held his hand up and stopped me from my rant.

“I only need it for a month, that’s all. The council is coming to see how my clan are doing and if I don’t have a mate then I will have to step down, but with you by my side they will leave me alone.” Dagger said, making me think about it. A month couldn’t hurt, could it and I would only have to pretend to be his mate, then that would be it, we would part ways.

“Okay, deal, but I’m not sleeping with you. We will lock Holly up long enough for Mercury to get Cheyenne back and let Holly go. By the time they mate Holly will feel it and just go off the deep end.” I said, finalising the last part of my plan.

Dagger’s P.O.V

This woman was nuts, absolutely nuts if she thinks that her stupid ass plan is going to work, but I’ll do it.

“Okay, as long as you stand by the deal I will help you.” I replied and she nodded. What the f**k have I gotten myself into? I picked the wrong female once again and this one was going to bring me nothing but trouble. After the deal is done I’m just going to kill her, it’ll be easier. I’ll stick her in a room without any windows and a steel door so that she won’t be able to break out, then I’ll wait until she’s drained and gone mad. Those are the rooms we keep to drain a vampire that needs putting down and that’s exactly what I’m going to do with her once I have got what I want.
