chapter 9 Meeting Cheyenne

Edited. Yara’s P.O.V I can’t believe that I am doing this, that I was introducing my boss to the Alpha of my pack. This was all still a shock to me, I mean my boss is the mate of my Alpha and in turn that made her my Luna, but would she accept our world? Would she accept him as her mate once she finds out what we are? Would this ruin everything or make it better? All these questions ran through my mind as I led Cheyenne over to Alpha Ace’s table, where his sister, Courtney and another male wolf, were seated. I didn’t know who the other man was, but I knew that he was an Alpha because of the aura that was around him, I just didn’t know what pack he was from. “Guys, I would like to introduce you to the owner of this beautiful restaurant. Boss, this is my cousin Ace and his sister Courtney and…er, I’m sorry, I don’t know who you are.” I said and the man chuckled. “I’m Victor, you’re cousin's boyfriend.” The man I now knew as Victor replied, making me raise an eyebrow. I nodded as he looked at Courtney and I was glad that she had finally found her mate, it was about time, I thought to myself as I turned my attention back to Cheyenne. “It's nice to meet you all, I hope that you’re all enjoying yourselves here and enjoying the food. Next time you may want to sit on the balcony or upstairs so you can look at the stars. The view from up there is stunning and I also have a dock that is being built at this very moment, so maybe the next time you come you would like to sit out there. I’ve dreamed of owning a restaurant ever since I was eighteen and when I got the money together I found this building and snapped it up. Ever since then I have worked hard and built it up, now I’m building onto it as well. Sorry, I’m rambling on a bit. How was the food? I hope that you enjoyed it.” Cheyenne said, but I could tell that she was nervous for some reason. Everyone went quiet after that and just smiled at each other. Alpha Ace’s P.O.V I noticed when Yara led my mate over that she was checking out my tattoo and then she quickly looked away, which made me smirk, but I tried my hardest not to. She started talking about the restaurant and I could tell that she was a little nervous because she started to ramble a bit, but she sounded so cute doing it. I decided to break the ice to ease her nervousness. “How about you tell us your name, which I’m sure is just as beautiful as you are.” I said and saw a slight blush come over her cheeks. It wasn’t a bright red or even a bright pink, it was more a light pink that just highlighted her cheeks. She looked adorable and as I watched her I saw her start to nervously lick her lips, which immediately turned me on. A few stray hairs dropped down onto her face and she gently brushed them away, tucked them back in place so as to not irritate her. All these small actions had me taking a deep breath and holding it in so that I could try to control my wolf, who was going nuts at the fact our mate was standing right in front of us. “MATE!! MATE WITH HER!! SHE’S OUR MATE, OURS AND OURS ONLY!! MATE WITH HER NOW!!! CLAIM OUR MATE, YOU MORON!!!” Spade said, growling in my head as he tried to take control. “Hey, there's no need for name calling. Yes, I know that she’s our mate and that we need to mate, mark and claim her as ours, but you need to calm down. You heard what Yara said, she’s a human and knows nothing about the supernatural or our kind, so we don’t want to scare her. We will have her and make her ours in time, but first we need her to trust us and you wolfing out isn’t going to help.” I replied, but then started to sulk and in the end went to the back of my mind and sat down, sulking like a child. “Oh, I’m sorry, my name is Cheyenne and it’s very nice to meet you all. Feel free to stop by any time, I would love to see you all come back here.” Cheyenne said and I was right, her name sounded just as beautiful as she was. I didn’t want to leave just yet, but I also didn’t want to have to share her with my sister, her mate, Victor and the rest of the people in the restaurant either. “Well Cheyenne, I know that you must be very busy, but how about you show me that dock that's being built, I would love to see it.” I said, hoping she would say yes. I watched her look around the table before her eyes finally landed on Yara, who looked a little uneasy for some reason, but I knew that she would have my back. “Yara, can you watch the restaurant while I show Mr. Ace here the dock?” Cheyenne asked and Yara quickly nodded. “Yes, of course I will.” Yara replied and I would have to remember to thank her later. “Great, Mr. Ace, follow me.” Cheyenne said and I quickly got up from my chair, wanting nothing more than to be alone with my mate. “Please, just call me Ace, there’s no need for titles.” I said and Cheyenne smiled and nodded at me. Just seeing her smile was like a breath of fresh air and if I had known that the mate bond was this strong or that having a mate could make you feel on top of the world then I would have put more effort into finding her instead of just looking at the she-wolves in my pack once a year to see if they were my mate. Yara’s P.O.V I watched my cousin and Alpha leave with my boss and future Luna, but the whole time I was not only nervous, but also scared and worried. “Is Ace out of his mind, having a human for a mate. What is he thinking, she doesn’t even know about us, so how is this all going to work out?” I asked, turning to face Courtney, but she just chuckled. “Yara, stay out of it, you know how the Moon Goddess is and that she does these things for a reason, so maybe this will be good for him. Maybe he won’t be as much of an asshole if this works out and lets hope that it does work out because then not only will Ace be stronger, but so will the rest of the pack. We need a Luna and the Moon Goddess has granted him his mate in the form of Cheyenne, so let’s see what happens.” Courtney replied and I nodded as I looked back out to where Ace and Cheyenne were walking towards the dock. “By the way, congratulations on finding your mate, but when did this happen because I only saw you yesterday?” I asked, looking between Courtney and Victor. “It happened today, right before we came here. Victor went to school with Ace and I hadn’t seen him for two years, but then I hadn’t shifted so we didn’t know that we were mates until he came today for business with Ace.” Courtney replied, smiling from ear to ear and the whole time Victor never took his eyes off her. I could see that they were both happy to have found each other and I was so pleased for them as well, but now I had the stress of my human boss and my supernatural cousin being mates and the world of the supernatural being exposed and explained to her. What if she didn’t accept it or him after he had told her, it’s not like we can wipe her memory of all this?
