Alpha Ace’s P.O.V

I couldn’t believe it, after all these years I was here with my mate. After all these years of looking for her, here she is standing right beside me and I was speechless. I was so happy and nervous that now that we were finally alone I couldn’t find a single damn word to say to her.

“Of for Goodness sake, let me come forward and I’ll talk to her, Mr. Big shot, who can’t even form two words out of your mouth right now. She’s going to think you have turned mute or something. Suck it up and talk to her or let me do it.” My wolf Spade said and I could tell that he was getting annoyed with me.

“Fine, but if you touch her or scare her or make her runaway then I will never let you come out and you will never run again, not even when there is a war. I will block you to the back of my mind for the rest of our lives. Do I make myself clear?” I replied, meaning everything I said. Not a single hair on her head was meant to be touched or harmed in any way whatsoever.

Spade’s (Ace’s wolf) P.O.V

We had walked for about five minutes and Ace still hadn’t said anything to our mate. I sighed and hoped that he would talk to her about something, even if it was just the weather, but still nothing, so I managed to talk him into letting me come out and he agreed, but there was a condition to it. I knew that Ace meant every word he had said to me, especially as he was a fighter and could easily take down a rogue without me. He was strong, very strong and he was also very ruthless too. He worked out every single day and trained every day as well, so I knew that he meant all of it.

“Fine, I won’t scare her or touch her or even try to kiss and hug her, now let me come forward.” I said and my human chuckled in his mind as he let me come forward. When I finally came forward I found that I too couldn’t say anything, but I quickly shook it off and found my voice.

“So, are we going to be walking around the world or are we heading back to the dock?” I asked, hoping that my joke would work and it did because she started to laugh. Oh my Goddess, that sound, her laughter, was like music to my ears and I loved it.

“No, we are almost there. Besides, we haven’t been walking long.” Cheyenne replied, just as we turned behind the building and there it was. The dock was nearly finished and should be done in maybe a week or two more, but already it was looking really nice.

“This looks incredible, but you know, if you need any help building the rest I have builders that will build the dock faster and you could even have a gazebo with it as well.” I said and she quickly turned around to face me. At first I thought I had said something wrong, but then I saw her smile and it was priceless.

“The contractor said there was no room for a gazebo, but I would love for there to be one at the end of the dock. Do you think your builders could do that for me, I would pay them of course.” Cheyenne asked and I waved it off.

“I never said that you would have to pay me, sweetheart. I want to do this for you, you have worked so hard to build up this restaurant and make it a success, so at least let me do this for you.” I replied and she looked at me like I was crazy. s**t, had I done something wrong? Had I gone too far?

“What have you done, Spade? Why is our mate looking at us like that?” Ace asked, speaking in the back of my mind.

“How the hell do I know, I was just trying to be sweet and nice and generous with our mate because she deserves everything we can give her and more, but I think I may have gone too far.” I replied, waiting for Cheyenne to answer or say something.

Cheyenne’s P.O.V

Was this guy being serious? First he didn’t say a word for ten minutes and I was extending our walk in the hopes that he would say something and I was just about to give up when he made me laugh with his joke about walking around the world, but now he’s completely changed and has offered to build me a gazebo for free. I had already decided that I was going to pay him back, whether he liked it or not, I just had to figure out how. Ace stood there looking at me and waiting for me to say something, but I was too shocked at first and now I was just confused. Why would he offer to do this? Maybe he is just a really nice guy, maybe he is doing this for his cousin Yara, hoping that it will bring in more business which means that I will hire more of her family, which I honestly didn’t mind doing as her cousins were already doing well here.

“Alright Mr. Ace, I will take you up on your offer, but there’s one condition.” I said and he raised his eyebrows at me.

“Oh, and what is that condition, Ms Cheyenne?” Ace asked, making me smirk when he called me Ms.

“The condition is that you let me take you out. We will go to the movies and then out to eat, somewhere other than my restaurant.” I replied and heard him softly laugh.

“How about we go out to eat, talk and get to know each other? You can’t talk at the movies and I would like to get to know you.” Ace asked and I nodded in agreement.

“Alright, dinner and getting to know each other. Come on, your family probably thinks that I have kidnapped you or something.” I said, looking at the time and realising that we had been out here for over an hour. I heard him laugh and he sounded so cute that I got butterflies in my stomach. We headed back into the restaurant and sure enough his family was waiting for him, but Yara also looked like she was waiting for me too.

“Yara, if your section is cleaned and if you want to, you can leave with your family. Remember your day off is tomorrow, so rest up, you know Saturday’s are our busiest days.” I said and she nodded.

“Yes ma’am, I’ll be here bright and early Saturday.” Yara replied, saluting me and making me laugh. I watched as Yara left with Ace and the rest of their family, then I turned and helped clean up with the rest of the crew, but I couldn’t stop thinking about Ace.

“What am I doing? I’m too busy to have a man in my life, sure, a date wouldn’t hurt, but….oh hell I don’t even know I’m so tired.” I muttered to myself as I started yawning. Everyone else left and I locked up, but when I finally made it home I was so damn tired that I took a quick shower and just laid in bed, watching a little TV before falling asleep. I felt really weird because although I was asleep I felt like I was still wide awake and I wasn’t even sure if I was in a dream or if this was real. I was deep in the woods and I was running with wolves, but they weren’t trying to attack me, they were protecting me. I was running between two huge black wolves and we were all running towards something, but then I saw red eyes and fangs. What the hell was this thing? We collided with each other and all hell broke loose as we all started fighting, but there was a dark brown wolf that was running after me. He wanted to kill me, but then one of the huge black wolves that had been running at my side jumped and knocked him down. Before a sound could leave my throat the black wolf had bitten down on the brown wolf's throat and ripped it out, then it turned around to face me. The black wolf still had flesh in his teeth and blood was dripping from its mouth. It spat the flesh out, letting it drop to the ground and then it started walking towards me. Suddenly I woke up, startled and sweating as I looked around to see that I was still in my room. My heart felt like it was beating out of my chest and I was trying hard to calm down, but then I looked at the time and saw that it was three in the morning. I sat up further in my bed and held my pillow to me, thinking about the dream or whatever the hell that was. Why was I running like that and fighting with those blood thirsty wolves? I just hope I don’t dream about something like that again, that was really weird. I got up from the bed and went into the bathroom, splashed cool water on my face and did my business, then washed my hands before going back into the bedroom. I needed to get back to sleep for the early start I was going to have, but I really didn’t want to dream about that again.
