There was no sound around but the ragged and shallow breaths coming from Jazen. Lexi and Trevor's mouth fell open, both holding their breath unknowingly. "You guys killed my sister!" Jazen roared, making Lexi snap out from her shock. "She's your what?" Lexi asked, her eye were wide open in utter shock. "Yes, you heard it right. That was my sister, Lexi. And you killed her!" Jazen told her in gritted teeth while the gun still pointed at her. "Babe, I didn't even know that was your sister and we didn't kill her!" "Yes you did, when you led those monsters into their hiding place!" "That was unintentional!" Lexi tried to justify their actions at the night of the horrible event but Jazen didn't spend her whole life to find the person who led her sister to death. When she found out that her sister was dead, her world fell apart. Her life became miserable because Jasmin was the only person who really cared for her inside their house. She's her best friend and the only person who could understand her, but when she was gone, her whole life changed. Then she comes up with the idea to find the reason for her sister's death, she investigates and finds out that her sister works for a secret association. She dug deeper using her parent's money to get all the information she needed and ended up inside the big mansion in the forest where her sister died. She just used the reason about her arrange marriage with her dad's business partner's son. But her real agenda is to find the killer. Then it turns out that she's been with the killer for 3 years. Her girlfriend and her girlfriend's best friend. Trevor was about to move but Jazen shifted the gun at him, Lexi stopped him to make a drastic move or they would both die. She could see the will to kill in Jazen's eyes, though Lexi is sad to see those emotions in her, she couldn't get herself mad at Jazen. "Please, believe me. We don't mean to—." "Shut the f**k up, Lexi!" Jazen shouted, her chest heaving up and down in so much anger. She was hurt and mad at the same time. Because why not? All this time, she didn't even know that she's in love with the suspect. "Listen Jazen." Trevor put his hand on his side as if he's surrendering after he noticed Jisu behind Jazen, hiding in the dark but he acted like he didn't see anyone. "I know that even if we try to tell you that we didn't kill your sister, you're not gonna believe us, but Lexi is your girlfriend—." "And you think that it will change my mind to take my revenge for my sister?" Jazen interrupted Trevor. "Yes!" "Then you're wrong, because my sister is all I have and you two took her away from me!" Jazen said and she was about to pull the trigger. Jisu moved quickly and she grabbed Jazen's arms and forced it to point the gun on the ceiling. Lexi couldn't react at all, meanwhile Trevor helped Jisu to steal the gun from Jazen. "Let me go!" Jazen yelled. "Stop it, Jazen!" Jisu yelled back, she used her knowledge in taekwondo to find Jazen's weakness and Trevor took the gun, he retreated back to his spot earlier after Jisu locked Jazen's arms behind her. "Why do you have to intervene?! I already found the killers!" "We didn't kill your sister! How many times do we have to tell you that?!" Trevor yelled as he pointed the gun to Jazen. Lexi reacted and she stole it from Trevor in force. "Why are you pointing the gun at my girlfriend?!" Lexi growled after she removed the magazine and disassembled it. "I don't have the intention of shooting her, unlike what she did to us." Trevor scoffed. Lexi didn't respond and she just let out a sigh before approaching her girlfriend. "Look babe, we're really sorry for what happened to your sister but Trevor is right, we didn't kill her." "You did! And you won't change my mind!" Jazen growled but she couldn't move at all as Jisu was holding her tight. Lexi smiled at her sadly and stroke Jazen's face but the latter moved her head on the other side to avoid Lexi's hand. "Fine, if you believe that we killed her, then think what you want but I won't let that reason for you to be one of my enemies." Lexi stepped back and she shifted her gaze at Jisu. "Where's the others?" She asked. "They are in the living room." Jisu replied. "Thank you for saving us." Trevor chimes in, he walks over to Jazen and uses the bedsheet he found to tie the girl. "Sorry about this Lexi, but we need to make sure that she's not going to kill us again." "It's fine." Lexi responds to that understandingly. "We can't let the others see her this way, I don't want them to know our secret." "So what are we going to do with her?" Trevor asked. "You guys should go back with them, I'll stay here with her." Lexi told them. "I'm not going to let you alone again, you know me Lex." Trevor refused to go and he took Jazen to the bed and guided her to sit down. "Then we'll stay here." Jisu said as she sat next to Jazen, who's still trying to escape but since Trevor made sure that she's securely tied, she then gave up. The three decided to stay inside the room with Jazen, without talking to each other, just waiting for the night to arrive. Meanwhile, those who were left in the living room decided to stay in a room as well since the monsters will attack at night. They used everything to block the door to protect themselves. Blake is still hiding somewhere inside the big mansion. And the night has arrived, everyone is scared. It's been more than a week and yet they don't know when it will end. They were trapped and there's no way out. They tried everything to break the door, but nothing happened. But there is confusion about the mansion, because even if there are a lot of monsters scattered around the whole house, every morning, there is fresh and newly cooked food in the kitchen which gives them the strength to survive as each day passes by. They don't know where it came from and they don't know who's doing it because they don't have the courage to go out once the night has fallen. But one thing is for sure, there's a way out from the mansion, but they couldn't find it. Low growls, heavy footsteps and snarling sounds started to fill the whole mansion, which indicates that the monsters are already outside the rooms, looking for their prey. "Tomorrow, we have to find out who's bringing food to the kitchen." Lei said and everyone agreed to him. "How will you do that?" Chantelle asked mockingly. "Do you think that you'll be able to catch them just by hiding in the kitchen?" "If that will do, then why not?" Iris answered in a mocking manner. "And you think monsters won't attack you before they arrive?" "How will they get to bring food if there are monsters in that kitchen?" Siena asked back, but she's not being a b***h, she was just really curious. "Then let's find out tomorrow night." Denver said dismissively. "Good luck with that, more dead bodies, more money for me." Chantelle said while she turned her head to the window and looked outside. She couldn't see anything but dark, she was wondering where Jisu was after she excused herself to use the bathroom. She didn't come back after that and Chantelle was hoping that she was just fine. She's fine, she's actually sleeping next to Trevor while Jazen and Lexi were sitting separately and across from each other on the floor. "Why did you do that?" Jazen asked to break the silence between them. "Did what?" Lexi asked back confusedly. "Why did you lead those monsters to where everyone is hiding?" "We didn't mean to do that, it's just that we were still a kid at that time and we're scared, we didn't have much time to think." "So you decided to bring those monsters in the basement and then save yourself?" "Look babe, I'm really sorry, okay? Like what I said, I'm still young and couldn't remember what exactly happened that night—." "You did, Trevor did but you chose to hide behind the shadow of a nerd to cover up your crime. Do you even know how devastated I am after I found out that my sister was killed by a monster because of my girlfriend and her best friend?" Jazen's voice laced with a certain sadness and pain in her eyes while saying those words to Lexi. She wanted to get mad, because she promised herself that she wouldn't stop till she found the killer. But fate made fun of her when she found out the truth. It never crossed her mind that Lexi was the kid who would be the reason to lose her sister. "I'm sorry, Jazen." Lexi looked down on ger lap, then when she looked up again to meet Jazen's eyes, there were tears on her eyes which made Jazen's heart melt. She really loves Lexi, but her resentment stops her from continuing loving Lexi. "Your sorry won't bring my sister back." Jazen said as she looked away. "I know—." Lexi was cut off when they heard a loud bang coming from the door. Jisu and Trevor both got startled and they immediately rolled out from the bed. Another loud thud and they know the monsters are trying to break the door. "f**k it!" Lexi exclaimed as she picked up Jazen from the floor when the door broke and there was a monster standing in front of them. _______
