inside the palace of Aba it was announced that Adere and the King's men were fast approaching the palace and he was happy to hear that. The gates were raised and they rode in one after another.
Before long they were standing before the King of Aba. Adere dipped his hand in his purse and brought out the glowing seed. The officials and the elders were taken aback at the sight of the magnetic power seed. He presented it to the king and the king collected it with smiles on his face. After examining it for sometimes Adere reminded him that it was high time he fulfilled his own side of the bargain. The king told him to wait while the Seer of Aba is consulted to ascertain the authenticity of the seed they had brought from Adere's father's maternal home. Adere bowed and was taken back to the cells where his mother was kept.
On seeing her son being led back to her cell Adere's mother knew that her instinct was right. Her son was too stubborn to obey her. Adere was led inside and he sat beside his mother.
"Mother I'm sorry that I had to return for you" he said.
"I'm sure you did not get the seed of power. I heard the beast distracted your journey to your father's maternal home" said Adere's mother.
"No mother, I found the seed and I brought it with me" he said and the mother was shocked.
"You did what? where is it?" she asked almost immediately.
"I gave it to the king already" he revealed and the mother could not believe her ears. He removed her eyes from her son and tried to recover from the shock.
"Mother I couldn't let you rot in here and I'm not willing to be a hero of the people. The king can choose to be the hero. I will simply take you out of here and live a normal life with you for I have done my part. I have found the tool with which to use to destroy the beast and now whoever destroys the beast with the seed will only be concluding the work which I started"
"And who told you the king will set us free? you have made a terrible mistake Adere. You have put the safety of this kingdom into the hands of the one worse than the beast and I must tell you we will pay for this mistake with our own lives" After saying this the king of Aba walked in and with some of his men and stood before Adere and his mother.
"It is a good thing that you obeyed your king and embarked on this journey to retrieve the seed of power...
"I did not retrieve it, I found it" corrected Adere.
"But for something so great, great enough to get rid of an ancient evil from our land to be found in your father's maternal home can only mean that it was stolen from where it was supposed to be. Something as great as this can only be found in a shrine not in some home of some man" said the king before he added, ,"You and your mother will remain here and will be brought to trail for the offence against the law of Aba kingdom; hiding a source of life in your father's home and your mother, for harbouring you who have had this knowledge all these years and refused to share it with the royal household. The punishment will be severe but before then I and my men will ride to stop the beast and kill it if I must and then the Seer of Aba will retrace his words on whom he termed more important than myself" he finished saying this and Adere's jumped up angrily to seize his neck but the King's men were many and they overpowered him. The king was leaving and Adere was shouted after him.
"You made a promise. You promised me!!!" shouted Adere as the King's men began to beat him inside the cell. There was nothing Adere,s mother could do as she cried at the sight of her only son being beaten by the heft looking men.

The king had gone out and had informed the general to ready the men for them to go in search of the ancient beast and to either kill it or force it away from the planet earth. He met the Seer of Aba half way the throne room and already knew what he was going to say to him.
"I told you that the destiny of the one you torture is bigger than his size. You should tell your men to stop. You should carry him along if you mean to defeat the beast. You should not allow greed and envy put us all in danger" advised the Seer of Aba.
"When Adere and his mother are dead this night I will remind you the words you said this afternoon. His destiny is big, yes, but not bigger than the grave that will be dug for him and his mother tonight"
