THE MISSION 9

Inside the dungeon where Adere's mother was seated she was lying down with her eyes closed when someone tapped her shoulders. She opened her eyes and saw a young lady standing with a tray containing food and drinks. She lowered it before her. "I want you to eat this Ma and please eat it now so that i can return the plates before the king finds out

"Who are you?" the king asked.

"My name is Shante and I'm a maid in this palace. You must trust me for I have had series of visions about your son and I believe in the world he will build. The king must not find out about this food so eat quickly" said the girl.

"How did you pass the guards in front of my cell?" asked Adere's mother.

"They are allowed me in after I allowed them touch my breasts" she said.

"You should not do that next time" said Adere's mother before she started eating hungrily. After sometimes she paused. "Have you heard anything about my son and the mission he embarked on?" she asked.

"The last I heard was the moment he was seen riding off the palace with the King's men" Shante said and Adere's mother kept eating veraciously.

"My son is destined for this. He shall return and those who believe in him will be given hope. I'm done eating your delicious food Shante and I must commend you for your love and care" Adere's mother thanked her and Shante lifted the plates before she said, ,"I will see you again mother of our saviour" said Shante before she left. This utterance and deeds of Shante lighted the hope of Adere's mother and she had more reason to live. She kept waiting.

At the maternal home of Adere's late father he and the King's men had grown so tired and hungry and some of them were already beginning to thing that there coming to Adere's father's maternal home will be the end of their existence. They prayed and laid down to rest. Adere and Shuru kept standing.

After sometimes Adere's feet felt something that stuck out of the ground and he took a closer look at it. He then used his hand to remove the object from the ground and Shuru's eyes opened in awe. That was a glowing seed; The Seed Of Power. It was glowing and they noticed that the beast had stood on his feet and was backing out. Adere stretched the seed towards the beast and he ran off at once. Adere and Shuru looked at one another and they awoke the rest from their sleep and told them it was time for them to return to the palace of Aba. They mounted their horses and sped off through the thick and dusty road.
