Meanwhile the people of Aturu were not happy with what happened between them and Obieze, how he involved himself in the war between Aturu and Idima and made them loose their home. When that war ended and the people of Aturu alongside their king were left to die in the desert of Heki he could not bear the insult and the disgrace Obieze subjected him to. He was so pained that he began to think of a way to pay Obieze back for what he did to his people. He has refused to eat the food they gathered while escaping from the land of Aturu and his wife had begun to notice that he was becoming tinner each passing day. The tent they built were not enough to contain all the people of Aturu that escaped from their land during the war. As the king of Aturu sat alone outside the tents his wife approached him and sat beside him. He looked at her and looked away sadly. The wife knew his mood was not good and she tried her best to help calm him down. Firstly when she began preaching to him he was not paying attention until she said, "We all know that Obieze's father never supported his son to aid the people of Idima against us. He did all that he did on his own free will. We should all know that the son of the king of Egwu will be a torn in our flesh. We should remove this torn before it turns to fire" After the wife had said this the husband looked at her for sometimes and he said, "I am lucky to have you here at this trying times. You have shown to be loyal and I am happy and grateful to the gods having given me a good and supportive wife like you. I promise to make you smile soon" After he said this the wife kissed him and was about to return to where she was before the husband asked, "What about our people?" he asked. "They are good, not all of them but they are not dying. There are still others who come to join us here and our numbers are increasing. I must say that we need to make sure that they do not go hungry" Said the wife. "Yes, they come here under my care and I must still remain their king and provide for them. Call the generals for me" Said the king and the Queen left. After a while the King's two remaining generals came and stood before their king. The king of Aturu rose and held them by the shoulders as he spoke. "Good friends. I must call you friends for that is what you are. I must admit that your show of loyalty have gladdened my heart greatly and I am willing to still be your king even while out here. I have learnt that more people who escaped the people of Idima and Obieze, son of the King of Egwu are still joining us. We must not allow them go hungry and while we feed them we should as well train them. They have to be trained because we will be returning home some day. We must return home and reclaim what was taken from us. You my generals are pretty handy with swords and other weapons of warfare. We must be prepared for what lies ahead. Get ready those that can hunt and let us go hunting" After the king was through the two generals promised to stay loyal to him and to the people of Aturu and went on to do what he asked them to do. They selected those who were healthy enough and the hunting trip began. The king of Aturu was with them as they embarked on this hunting trip. While they left the Queen of Aturu while inside her tent realised that she was pregnant. She was so happy and waited patiently to have her husband return so she could tell him. In the hunting ground the king of Aturu hunted a lot of animals and they returned. The people of Aturu showed their happiness when they saw that their king was not relenting and that he was ready to still answer their king and take care of them. It was a great day for them as they hunted a lot of meat. They celebrated even though they lost in the battle. The king of Aturu and his wife were both inside the tent while they could hear the noises of the celebration outside. There the wife told him that she was pregnant. The king was happy and sad at the same time. He was sad that he was told the good news of his forthcoming child in the time when he was experiencing defeat and on the run. He got down from the mat and sat down. The wife who understood him clearly got up too and went closer to her, holding him on the face she kissed him on the forehead. "You are a great king and everyone knows it. Men fall and men rise. You fell but you will rise again. You have nothing to be angry about. This is a good news and I am willing to stick with you until the end and the end is not now. You have a lot to achieve for the people of Aturu. They shall celebrate their king joyfully and you will be surprised to know just how much they mean to me as well. I will stick with you. We will return home when we are ready and take it back from those that took it from us and also from those who helped those to take what belongs to us we will take from them" The wife had kissed him again and the king was happy. He forced a smile and kissed her back on the forehead. They both had to go outside to join the others.
