Adere held his mother and comforted her.
"Please you must take good care of yourself while I return mother" he cried.
"Do not cry for I have had series of visions this past hours I have spent here" Whispered Adere's mother before she continued, "Your destiny is bigger than you think and my life is so small compared to what you stand to achieve for the people of Aba and for yourself and so this leads to the warning I must give you now. What you are seeking for in your father's maternal home is a seed of power. That seed can be used to control the ancient beast but you must not give this seed to the king or to anyone. This seed must be used by you and by you alone. Do not let it fall into the hands of greedy men of this world. You must do this for me and for your father who witnessed how great you would be even before you were born. Go and my son and let this be the last time we will meet" she said and let go of her hand. Adere kissed her forehead and went out.

The king had barely sat on his throne when he started hearing the cries outside the city walls. There were screams and then strange sounds. The officials walked in to announce that the beast had resurfaced and this time he had killed more than he had never killed before. The king remained seated as he urged the gate keeper to alert the guards at the gates to keep it strongly closed.
"My lord, so many people are seeking for refuge here. Many have abandoned their homes and the only safe place for them is inside the city walls. If you command the gates to remain shut many souls will be lost today for the beast is devouring people in thousands" begged one of the officials.
"The gates will remain shut. Upon raising that gate the beast might enter with those that will struggle to enter and if that happens none of us will survive it. Many will die and many will continue to die until we unravel what is behind the existence of the beast or how to defeat it" The king finalised and the officials had nothing more to say as they looked at each other and remained silent.
Shortly after Adere walked in, followed by the twenty guards given to him to escort him to his father's maternal home. He stopped in the middle of the throne room and spoke to the king, "Adere is ready to embark on the journey his majesty has sent him but the city is not safe and upon going out now we might meet our end"
"But if the one I have sent on this journey does not go many will continue to die. You will have to find your way out of the city Adere. I do not know how you will do this but you have to do it. With the men I have given to you may the road you travel be safe" The King spoke and Adere, after a pause bowed and adjusted his sword and he and the men given him started out on the journey. Soon they were out of the palace and headed towards the gates of the city wall. The gates were raised and those struggling to enter made it difficult for Adere and his men to pass. At the end they passed and mounted the horsed positioned outside the gates. Adere spoke to the King's men, "We will ride, not stopping for a moment until we reach our destination. If the beast attack us or pursues us we must keep on riding and if one of us is being devoured by the beast the rest must keep riding and not looking back"
