I woke up a little disoriented. It took a minute for my vision and mind to adjust. As I took in my surroundings, my eyes landed on Chase and Care on opposite sides of me. Care was softly sleeping on the sofa bed next to me, while Chase was sitting on the chair to my right holding my hand.
My body felt stiff and uncomfortable. Trying to silently move around was painful and damn near impossible. I gave up and just laid back down. While stroking Chase's hand, I studied him and Care. They looked worn out, I felt like sh.t knowing that I was the cause. Just how long have I been here and when was the last time either of them got some proper sleep?
It’s not surprising to see Care and Chase in the same room. Just wasn’t expecting it to be right now. I know if things were different,
