“Did you see any cross-bred frogs at Graham Socks’ place?” Rene asks.
“Not that I recognized, but he could have them somewhere else. I’m going to call Nanook, see what he thinks.” Evan grabs a nearby nurse and asks her to get Nanook.
When Nanook arrives, Rene steps back and watches them work. He can’t understand half of what’s on the screen, or what’s being said, but he thinks this is it, the lead they’ve been looking for. They might be reacting to this mix of toxins.
“Rene, can you call the elders? Graham Socks’ house has to be searched again, along with any property he has access to,” Evan says to him.
“Have you found the poison? Is it him?” Rene asks.
“We think so. Which also means we can start trying to synthesize an antitoxin.” Nanook sounds pleased.
