Dreaded Destiny

"I will miss you, duckie girl" Nate chuckled as tears were filling his eyes. He hugged me tightly and wiped his running nose with my leather jacket.           "Nate!"I shouted in disgust as I pushed him off. When Cole, my other friend saw my dirty jacket, he started laughing his butt off.      "Oh..my god! Th-this is so funny!"he mumbled, struggling to talk between his laughter.     "Seriously guys, I know why you're doing this. You're either trying to forget the fact that I'm leaving or you want me to miss the train"I smiled at them and gave them a 'I know your plan' look.      Cole huffed and bear hugged me "I'll miss you so much Avy! Try and be quick. Take some days off and come visit us"He patted my back and pulled away.     "I'll miss you more Coco"I gave him a weak smile as I nodded and turned to Nate. His tears were streaming down his face now. He looked like a little child looking at his mother with begging eyes for more candy. "Oh what happened to the tough guy now?"I pouted my lips childishly and hugged him again. I placed my mouth near his ear and whispered "Never ever forget me, Kate."     With that, I dragged one of my bags as the driver had already took the others to the car.      I walked away without turning back. I knew that if I turned back and looked at the heartbroken Cole and Nate while he was crying his heart out, it would shatter my heart.      It was never hard for me to go on a mission and not see them for days. But this time, it was completely different. I was going on a journey that would last for months. There was a huge possibility I would get caught and not see them again.      It was frightening to leave everything behind and be forced to leave. What if I get caught? What if that old business man found out about our plan? Maybe I will mess everything up. If any of those awful chances happen, I would never return back home to my ruthless father and awesome best friends. I would be with my mom, up in the sky. Only because my father doesn't seem to care about me any longer.      The driver hurried over to me and took the last bag from my hand before putting it in the back of the car. "You didn't have to carry it here, Avery" he said with a smile on his face. I smiled back upon hearing him call me with my first name for the first time ever. I had always asked him to but out of respect for me and fear from my father, he never dared to.      "I will miss you Jack"I said.      I got into the backseat and rested my head on the window. The station wasn't so near to our house so I couldn't go without a car.      Nate's sobs couldn't be heard anymore. I never knew he would cry in such way. I saw the hurt in Cole's eye. I knew he wanted to cry too, but he didn't want to worry me more. He was like an older brother to both Nate and me. Everyone knew he is the mature one in our group. I love both of them the same. Nate is like my rebellious twin and Cole is our guardian.      Cole is the wisest and sweetest man I have ever seen. He is married to Jessica. She is a sweetheart. She wanted to say her goodbyes today but my 'commander' forced her to go with him on a meeting. So, we had to meet yesterday for the last time.      I seriously loathed my father with all my heart. How can a dad be that cruel to his own daughter?! I will just never understand him.  ****     I walked out of the train, carrying my bags with me. It was nearly midnight and I was exhausted from the long ride.      I took a taxi and gave him the address to the home my father had bought. He had bought a house and applied for the secretary job even before informing me.      As soon as I arrived, I got the key out of my purse and placed it in the keyhole. It seemed so elegant on the outside. I didn't even take a look at the neighborhood when I got out of the taxi.      I yawned as I entered the house. As I entered, it didn't greet me with a cozy and warm feeling. It was just a luxurious apartment in a rich neighborhood filled of fake high classed people.      I gave no mind for checking the house. I wanted to sleep so badly, so I walked upstairs and searched for the bedroom. I entered the room straight away and threw myself flat on the bed.  **** Ringgg...Ringgg...Ringgg     I opened my eyes tiredly and turned off the alarm. It took me nearly 5 minutes to finally wake up.      After taking a quick shower and freshening up, I picked my clothes. A dark red blouse with simple flowers, black pencil skirt and red high heels. For my hair, I left it down in its simple dirty blonde curls. I added some makeup and was ready to go after taking my black purse.      I wasn't the kind of woman who would catch the handrail as if my life depended on it and would never be able to walk on those sticks. In fact, my father had made me practice walking on them for big parties and certain missions. Imagine that I took my first lesson when I was only 7! He always doubted my skills and would never believe that I was able to do something.      I cringed, thinking about him and continued my way outside. I got into my car that my father had probably asked for a worker to buy and leave in the garage. He had planned for everything smoothly. I really can't mess things up.      Before speeding off to get my new fake identity card, I took a deep breath and said "Hi, Mr. Lueders. I am Anna Emelcourt, your new secretary."I practiced.      Okay, this is perfect. Now, let's go to the dreaded destiny.
