MARCUS' POV: Brianna worked for weeks without issues. She showed up, her s**t checked out... and we didn't have any problems. Until August 28th hit. She was on the f*****g tables, in her panties, her dressed pulled up just under her bra, and she took shot after shot from the customers who weren't even all that pissed about it. I tried to tell her to stop, to get behind the bar but she blew me a kiss and winked before she hopped on a guys lap and started to grind. Knowing Tara knew her, I rang her first, wondering if she knew what to do. "Steel Catering, this is Tara." "Tara... who the f**k did you let me hire. Brianna is giving lap dances and taking shots the customers paid for and some of the dancers are pissed." I told her quick and made sure to close my office door to close out the music. "What? Brianna doesn't drink." She scoffed and I worked my jaw. "Then she poured fake apple juice and water shots and is playing a pretty good f****d up dancer." I told her and she cursed. "I'll be there in a minute. Please tell me she isn't taking off her clothes." She begged and I took a deep breath. "She hiked up her dress." I told her honestly and she cursed. "I am sending Grey to meet me there too." She told me and I had to wonder if that was her bodyguard of the day.  "Ok, I will try and get her to stop and calm down." I told her and hung up quick. As soon as I opened the door I noticed the music was lower and I saw some of the other dancers trying to talk to Brianna, trying to get her to cover herself back up and the guys were kind of laughing it off and the brothers of the MC looked very uncomfortable. I waited and when Grey shoved open the door everyone kind of turned eyes to him. "Brianna." He shouted and she looked at him and, like out a high school movie scene, she flipped her back to him, making sure her hair swung around. If he had been standing any closer she would have hit him. "Grey... get her into my office." I told him and he looked from me to her and took a couple deep breaths as he got to her. "Enjoy the real entertainment." I waved to the dancers who were getting back on stage and Diamond winked at me and captured the men as she started her new number up. Grey dragged Brianna into my office as nicely as she let him and when I sat down she pushed at him before coming around and sitting on my desk, legs spread and her feet kicking as she licked her lips and looked at me. "Brianna, you need to go over there." I pointed at the free chair and she started to pout. "Don't be a slut Brianna-" "Don't you f*****g dare to tell me not to do something. I am not a slut. I can count the amount of men I've had inside me on one hand. You can't even tell me the name of the b***h you were f*****g two days ago." "I told you Bri that we weren't a f*****g couple. I wasn't going to make you my old lady." "Who the f**k wants to be an old lady! I want a boyfriend. Someone to f*****g talk to and f**k when I want without worrying about STDs." She got in his face and I just relaxed and let them shout about it until Tara was opening the door. "Shut up both of you." She shouted when they went right back to shouting at each other. At least this time they shut the f**k up. "Sit down." She pointed at Brianna and then she did as Tara told her. Grey moved to lean against the corner, his hands clenching and he looked ready to put his fist through the wall. "What the f**k were they yelling about?" I looked up and made sure that she was asking me. "Apparently they've been a thing... and dipshit here stuck his d**k in a new b***h and she either found them or he told her and she's ruining her job by trying to find someone else to f**k here." I put it out there, saw how Bri seemed to sober up a bit and cover her face in shame. "f*****g bastard." I heard her mutter and I heard Grey blow out a breath. Again, back in a high school movie. "I told you to make sure that when you start s**t with women to make sure they know it's not exclusive. And I told you not to get attached to the brothers. Besides Marcus, they're all young and immature and won't want what you want." Tara talked to them both and I almost too exception to her calling me old but let it slide. "As it is... I am going to take over the bar tonight. Brianna, I will call one of the other brothers to take you home-" "f**k that." Grey spoke out and I swiveled in my chair and looked at him like he was crazy. "She's going to try and f**k the next guy who looks at her-" "f**k you Gabriel! I don't need you in my life if you're going to tell me I can't hook up with someone else when you didn't even tell me you had other women!" That was the first time I heard Grey's first name, but I didn't care much about that. "I will get Avery to do it. He is close, he's taken, and this s**t is either going to work itself out or you both are going to drop it." Tara was in full momma biker mode and while it was tiresome to have to see her do this for grown ups, it was also kind of a turn on. And that wasn't something I should be thinking about after weeks of putting her off. She cornered every once in a while and asked about my birthday. I was getting the s**t together at Gemma's old house fast, but her interest in me wasn't completely lost. For some reason she wanted to know all my secrets. TARA'S POV: As soon as Brianna was loaded into the mustang I turned and glared at Grey. I slapped the back of his head and grabbed his cut and pushed him back inside and then back into Marcus' office. He was behind the bar, so I had it alone with him. "Gabe I told you. She was a one person kind of girl." I told him and he sighed and rubbed his temple. "I know you did T. And I tried. But she was busy, and I was in need so I found a new chick to-" "Gabriel I swear you don't listen." "I did listen." He shouted and I took a deep breath and stood up straight and looked him dead in his eyes. "You played with a girl that I told you not to. You slept around, please tell me that was the only girl you did that with." "Why is this such a big f*****g deal! She's not a club bunny. She's not an old lady, she is not anyone's f*****g family. She's a nobody." He challenged me and I set my eyes on him, I got in his face and I made him sit the f**k back down. "A woman isn't a f*****g nobody. She is a woman. She deserves respect. You are a man and a MC brother. You should be better. I would expect more from you. Your dad left your momma when she was pregnant with you right? Your sister was knocked up by a man and she was left to raise a baby on her own right?" I asked him and he narrowed his eyes at the wall. "You joined the club to help her. If you don't treat women right you're just as bad as your nephews father and your father." I let the words sink in before I turned and left. I walked out and saw Marcus holding a big pitcher and pushing it towards some guys. I made sure that I went behind the bar before he got back and I crossed my arms and waited. "What?" "You were just letting them yell at each other when I got here." I told him and he sighed and crossed his own arms before leaning back beside me. "And? I am not a therapist. I am not their dad, I am no one's big brother. Honestly he seemed pretty jealous when he stormed in, I figured they'd fight, make up, do something other than cause a scene and me a headache." I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Grey isn't the best at relationships. I told Bri that, I told him not to lead her on-" "How did you even know that they were dating?" I looked at him and shook my head. "What are you blind?" I asked and he laughed lightly and shook his head. "I don't stick my nose in other people's business." He told me and I almost wanted to call bullshit but then I needed to know the whole story. "Didn't you know when Avery and Gemma were seeing each other?" "Well yeah. He was kissing her. Sitting at the bar like a puppy dog. He went on full protective mode when we saw this guy on old tapes touching her and grabbing when Joey G ran the place." I took that in and had to wonder if he really hadn't seen Grey and Bri and just didn't know it. "You think she is going to want to keep working here?" I shrugged and worked my jaw. "Grey has some problems, but if he fixes it then it should be fine. Maybe they shouldn't be together but that doesn't mean they have to hate each other." He nodded slowly and rubbed his neck before cracking it and I heard him move to try and crack his shoulders. "How old are you?" I asked and he looked over at me with a look like he was insulted. "You already think I am old. How old do you think I am?" He asked me and I looked him over, up and down before licking my lips and taking a guess. "35." I saw the sparkle in his eye like he wanted to say something but he shook his head. "Turning 35 on your birthday that is coming up?" I asked and he laughed again, and his mouth showed off the double dimples on both sides of his cheeks. "Yeah." He told me finally and I smirked. "And your birthday would be?" "On a Wednesday." He set the rag down and looked over to his office. "Now that Grey is out of my space I am going to go and finish paperwork. Thanks for manning the bar." I narrowed my eyes as he went around the bar, wide smirk on his face and I waited until he was out of sight before I started looking around for something to do. I started to refill some of the snack bowls and restocked the chips we have. I filled more drinks and by the end of the night I was dead on my feet and barely able to keep my eyes open. I was yawning as I mopped and once I was done I went to check in so he knew I was done. I yawned as I pushed open the door and my eyes started to water so I wiped carefully. "Tired?" "Well I was up at 6am this morning, well, now yesterday morning." I told him and he nodded. "Well you're not driving. Let me save this s**t and I'll drive you back." He told me and I was a little shocked he offered but I wasn't going to turn it down. "Thanks." I leaned on the door and rubbed my eyes and before I could get too comfortable I heard him power off the computer. "I'll be out in a second. Head out to the bike." He told me and while I didn't like the order I knew he was just letting me know he had to do something. I walked out and nodded to a couple of the guys before I got to his bike and leaned on it carefully. I rubbed my eyes and less than 5 minutes later he was walking out, locking up, telling the guys that he was good and then he got to me and put his helmet on top of my head and I glared before slipping it on. Thankfully it wasn't one that compressed your face and had a lot of padding. I clipped it and made sure he got on the bike before I slipped on behind him. I got comfortable, put my hands on his sides and he took off not two seconds after I was settled. I kept my hands in the right places. Holding on tighter when he took a corner and when we got to the club house he held still as I used his shoulders to get off the bike. "I'll give you a ride in the morning to get your car." He told me as he waited for me to take his helmet off. "Thanks." I started walking in and he was just behind me so I kept the door open and waited for him before I headed down the hall. "Hey Marcus." I turned and he was a few steps before his door. "What?" "When is your birthday?" I asked before yawning again. "September 6th." I smirked, nodded, and when I got to my room I made sure to write that down somewhere. It was a couple weeks away, and I would try and do something small for him if that was what he really wanted.
