Mia's POV
I was praying to the moon goddess and whatever else that's out there that Rosie was lying. That Shawn wasn't here. That he hadn't found me.
I slapped myself on the forehead. Of course, he's found me. If Rosie did, he obviously could, too.
I shouldn't have stayed in one place for too long. I put this whole pack, town and all my new friends in danger. Their blood is on my hands if anything happens, and I'm not sure if I can live with myself if it does.
I grabbed ahold of Rosie's hands and took them off my face. She shouldn't be here. She shouldn't be in the crossfire. She is a mom and has a mate that adores her. She shouldn't be risking her life for me.
I backed away to put some distance between us. "You need to go. You shouldn't have come."
