Chloe POV
I silently followed Knox and Sheryl down the stairs that lead to the dungeon. Knox was in Alpha mode and seemed focused on the task at hand. While Sheryl, well, she seemed bored with life and didn’t seem interested in anything other than silence.
I still can’t believe she was going through with this, I was so proud of her. Kyle was a disgrace and I’ve had a bad feeling about him since the first day we met. I secretly hoped that he would accept the rejection and leave the pack so we never have to see him again, but I know that’s probably wishful thinking.
