Knox POV
I woke up late morning with Chloe still curled up in my arms asleep. Today was the Alpha meeting and I was dreading it. I wish I had never agreed to it in the first place. The only person I wanted to speak with was Alpha Victor and I had already done that.
I was nervous about leaving Chloe behind, but at the same time, I didn’t want her anywhere near Cameron. She wanted to come with me, but I shut that idea down pretty quickly. It’s going to be bad enough for me to stay in control, I know it would be even worse for her.
She’s been having nightmares ever since Betty and Tom arrived and it sometimes takes hours before she can get back to sleep. I knew the only way those nightmares would ever stop was if she got her revenge on Cameron. I really hope I can help her get it.
